Could too much gadget exposure causes the delay?
@nrkazmi2 жыл бұрын
There is no evidence for that. Excessive gadgets usage is more related to behavioral issues, violence and visual problems rather than developmental issues

If CK normal.. EMG and NCS for which diseases? Why bone scan?
@nrkazmi3 жыл бұрын
EMG and NCS are for various Neuropathies. The list is a big one and can include hereditary as well as acquired neuropathies. Moreover its not the bone scan, its bone profile, because certain bone diseases are associated with weak musculatures. Rickets is one example. There are many others as well

Could preemy not be one of the causes of developmental delay? I had my baby at 33 weeks and weigh only 3pounds. His delay has been since from baby. Rolling, sitting, crawling, walking, talking all delayed. He is 18months now and not walking or talking. I get really worried sometimes. His doctor has not diagnosed anything serious. She only placed him on physical therapy.
@nrkazmi2 жыл бұрын
Not all premies are delayed. Usually mild HIE which is commonly associated with prematurity is cause of mild global delay. Your doctor is right. Physical therapy is the only thing you can do

Did he is dealyed in other domain too.... choice/reccomendation of therapy depends upon which domain of child is affected or delayed

Sir... Both gross and fine motor will come under one domain right??
@nrkazmi Жыл бұрын
@Thivya Kpr No Gross motor and fine motor skills are different domains and are assessed separately

Your missed speech as a delayed domain
@nrkazmi2 жыл бұрын
No, its not missed. Kindly watch the video again. The word language has been used instead of speech development. May be you are alluding to the fact that i didnt explain it in detail. That was an editing issue because the audio had problems so that bit had to be sacrified in final edit.

@@nrkazmi you said it’s a 3 year old that cannot talk only babbles but only stated gross & fine motor domains as those affected. Language should’ve been added is what I’m saying.
