In this epic 2 part mission we fish dive explore and feast our way around the Whangaroa Harbor and the Cavali Islands. We are fortunate to pick a beautiful mid winter weather window and we manage to catch and cook our way around for 4 amazing days of adventure and laughs with a solid crew of absolute champions. Lunchtime Flounder This to my channel where I got some vids , one where I saw a flounder just as I’d parked the tinny up at the batch faaar had just spent about an hour unpacking supplies and just happened to see this flounder… hungry tired missed it the first time an the mud being real soft made the water cloud up big time so couldn’t chase it in the water so jumped in the kayak to look for it to no avail… bumming out nec minit it was right there an whamo …. I’m holding the GoPro in my mouth lol …

what an awesome old vessel, very comfy. Stef's a great asset in the galley that's for sure, but please buy him a belt to hold his jeans up haha. I've been up and fished out of Whakatane and Whangamata but never the Cavali Islands, will have to add it to my wish list ! Loving your adventures that's for sure, great stuff thanks again for taking us along.

Perhaps Phat Martz can get you and Stef to come and explore the freshwater fishing in Northland and chill at Phat Martz BBQ and Cigar lounge for a collaboration. There is some absolutely amazing freshwater sport fishing in Northland.
