settripsbunch Shannon can say whatever he wants because that's what Skip knew would be the best thing. He and one of the producers came from ESPN. Skip took less money, so he could have more freedom, and show he could repeat his success. He talked about it after leaving ESPN. Shannon has talked about it as well, and he took the job because he knew Skip wouldn't duck with him and his style. They are so much better than First Take imo.

Am I the only one who questions Ty Lue's coaching? Look how Brad Stevens is using Kyrie now... seems like he is coming off of cuts/screens more for his offense instead of using all of his energy to go Uncle Drew on a defender. You're damn right I was impressed by LeBron's performance (or at least his stats) in the season opener against the Celtics. He looked like LeBron typically looks (I.e. like arguably the single greatest living basketball player on the planet).

I think that LBJ pass to Korver is solid. He should do it again and again and again, because Korver from that spot is money. LeBron versus Iggy at the rim vs a wide open Korver from the corner, 2 points or 2 FTs versus 3 points? If that shot goes down, that's a great play, but because it didn't, now we're saying he should have kept it? Can't have it both ways.

Korver "predictably" misses the shot in the corner... Korver was a 48.5% three point shooter last year. It's almost 50/50 he hits that shot. If he does, it's game over. He misses it, well you try and play some defense and survive. It didn't happen. But it was the right basketball play.

I'm a Celtics fan the East runs through the Cavs... If they can stay healthy unselfish and create a good chemistry. They will be win the East and have a good chance of taking out the Warriors. Love the C's but I can't see them taking out the Cavs this year. Especially with GH out.
