Ok, I still haven't finished Cave Story hopfully nothing gets spoiled.

I got the good ending of Cave Story.... Tips: -Keep a Life Pot on you throughout the maze -Use the Life Pot during the final fight against Ballos's final form.

Balrag your videos are straight masterpieces. You make them like your getting a grade based on it, and I would give you an A, no doubt. They are made with such care and class, and the cheap humor is really nice too. I just love it

I just discovered Cave Story a year ago. I'm 14 and I almost every experience you described was near identical to my first playthrough. I love your channel man. Also, just so you know, the freeware version also has controller support. It even works up to brand new Xbox 360 controllers if you have the right stuff.

This was an excellent review. I can definitely see the passion you have for these kind of games and it really shows with how much you go into detail on the game's aspects and your personal experiences. I like how you present the game from an objective and personal standpoint and it backs up your final verdict very well. Most importantly, even though I haven't indulged into Cave Story as much as you have, this was still impeccably relatable and enjoyable to watch. Keep it up, dude. :)

Definitely a really good video. I've heard of this game so many times, but didn't actually know much about it, so it was nice to learn this stuff. That said most of your videos are funnier than this one was. I think your videos are incredibly rewatchable because I find them to be so funny, but this one didn't quiet hit that mark. Can you rebind the controls in the PC version? Like use the left and right mouse buttons? I know, that's how I am when it comes to side scrolling shooters.

This was one of my first games. 2009. Age 6. My awesome cousin who was in what was probably his biggest retro phase, getting and playing tons of roms, found this. He probably wasn't thinking about my young innocence whenever he got me to play a game where most of the most important characters die before your eyes, sometimes even at your hand. Ah, I was to stupid to think about that as a kid. It was probably like "Oh no! He died!.. Cool, I got a sword!"

My goodness. Balrog has unbreakable determination! His commitment fills me with determination.

the only thing about the good ending is that the towrope wont even have the option of taking it if you save Prof. Booster (since that event comes first) and you have to grab it AFTER the fight before you drown (at least in the steam version)

You play the Blood Stained Sanctuary enough, it ACTUALLY becomes easy, but I cannot for the life of me beat Hard Mode Blood Stained Sanctuary. Congrats on finishing! This is the game that got me into indie games when I saw its quality and found out it was made by just one guy.

Also, the main problem with the Cave Story Wii soundtrack was failed sound mixing. I played around with the iTunes equalizer for a while, and i found out what each song should have sounded like.

Um I wanted to ask if anyone got this problem: When I comfortably ended my download of cave story+ I tried it right away but OH SURPRISE MAD"#$%&, it says that the app stopped working, tried many things so I wanted o know if anyone had the same problem and/or how to solve it. I know this isn't a trouble shooting page but please give me a hand. my computer is a VAIO VGN-CR460F, windows 8 Pro and this is the only game so far with the problem, well, at least I can play the normal version.

and in 2017 we got a switch version witch is $19.99 and has almost everything from the other ports with like 2 new soundtracks also heard there was an XBox original version of the game

Yo. Freeware cave story has controller support. I have been playing though it with one. Also, I might have been lucky with where Curly fell, but I managed to get the tow rope after beating the core. Not sure what that's about.

God beating hell and Ballos was one hell of a ride Just seeing that 17:08 makes me remember how fast my heart was beating and how I was screaming "FINALLY I BEAT IT" Good times.

The final boss reminds me of Triple Deluxe where you have to fight DeDeDe, then Masked DeDeDe, then the guy who controlled him, then that again, then the plant thing, and then fight that again with hypernova, and THEN you beat the last level
