As someone who is on the aromantic spectrum the lyric "If I don't want anyone, then why do I feel so alone?" Truly speaks to me especially the fact that this song is simply about the idea of someone. I always wish for someone but it's not real it's an idea. Even stranger my aromate moved to California around the time of this release so "What time is it California?" really hits home. It's a beautiful music video Robbie and another hit song. Edit: Thank you all for 6.6k likes. I didn't think that many people would see and id be the top comment on my favorite song. Thanks for all the aro love!!

I don't mean any disrespect, what does it mean to be on the aromantiic spectrum? I think aromantic means no romantic love at all, so does being on the spectrum mean there's a sliiight chance of the person feeling romantic love? (sorry if this is disrespectful, I really dont mean it that way!! i don't really understand some sexualities,, but I'd like to ask when I can, to learn more >

@@Giuliana22. Hey it's not disrespectful at all. Someone that is aromantic doesn't experience romantic attraction. Saying your on the aromantic spectrum is like that it's not black and white and it someone would be grey-romantic or demi-romantic. Robbie's lyric to me feels really lithromantic. Like feeling romantic attraction but only in theory.

I think Robbie’s also on the aromantic spectrum, which would explain why all his songs are so relatable to people who are also aro-spec :D So his songs could be used to describe either platonic love, or some of the romantic love aro-specs potentially feel (aegoromantic, lithromantic, demiromantic, etc)

@@relaxedchads3310 someone who’s aromantic means they don’t experience romantic attraction!! there’s a whole spectrum of aromanticism that can vary between person to person :) not to be confused with asexual, meaning someone doesn’t experience sexual attraction, though those can coincide! however, it’s important to not automatically assume that someone who does not experience romantic attraction also does not experience sexual attraction, and vice versa. i’d advise you to do some research if you want to know more about aromanticism, but i hope this helped!!

I can't thank Robbie enough for his music, it's such a comfort to me that I feel guilty for being able to listen to it for free. Sometimes it brings hurtful memories but it helps me overcome them in a healthy way and let everything go. He changed so many lives and mine is one of them. I wish I could do something more but for now I just wanna say,, Thank you

oh yeah his music means so much to me it's often the only thing that can make me comfortable. i dont even fully know why but he's just magical. i told my mom im a boy a little while ago and she kept saying how she thinks i should go to a psych ward and it upset me horribly. i couldnt stop thinking about it until i listened to his cover of paul and some of animal kingdom. that's the only way i could fall asleep. thank god for robbie whenever i need him he's there.

Ikr :(( I’d like to add on to how when at my lowest, I’d listen to his music. It was such big comfort, I can’t even describe- like jeez, I didn’t know who I was at some point and I felt like his music would understand me when no one else did. He’s such a big influence and even now, when I’m going through a hard time again, his music always feels like it calms my soul. My interpretation of this video is that the blue nosebleed basically represents mental health struggles, personal struggles, etc. basically any kind of negativity in that person's life. Robbie is dealing his own issues, while his partner is there to help him through them and help him grow as a person and get better. However, as we see at the end, she is also dealing with her own problems that she doesn't want to talk to him about, for fear of damaging things. Basically how us introverts are great at helping others but we don't like to reach out for help.

Brooo my interpretation is completely the opposite 😭😭😭 in my mind the blue nosebleed was his feelings for his partner, and every time they grow stronger the more he bleeds. “Throwing up brains through my mouth, yeah I’m thinking out loud things we won’t talk about” and it shows him throwing up blue in the sink. I think the things they don’t talk about is the romantic feelings that are there.(fear of ruining a friendship). it seemed like he is completely fallen with them. While they are just going with the motions. At the end when they finally bleed blue they seem surprised, while staring at Robbie picking flowers they may have realized their feelings for him :3 i may be reaching but when you have a “nosebleed” for someone it means you like them. And the color blue just gives me “peace, serenity, calm” vibes. But then again there are two different types of people in this world hehe and I am a hopeless romantic

But I also kind of am puzzled with the blue nose bleed. At first I thought it was his thinking out loud aka brain but could very well mean more than thinking out loud and more like catching feelings (like catching a cold hehe).

@@Alicia-zf3nq I believe Robbie is Aromantic so I think it’s about a platonic relationship since the lyrics are “the idea of her”, and I’ve seen someone else say that it could mean any struggles or negative things they’re going through, and they always help Robbie with them, but when they get a nosebleed they keep it to themselves instead of asking for help (or something along the lines of that)

Maybe the nosebleed repesents when they feel in love but he is only in love with the idea of her so the more they hang out his feelings fades away (so when she helps him with the nosebleed it repesents that his feelings fades for her). And later in the musicvideo Robbie looks more free and doesn’t look at her as much. But then she starts to look at him more and starts to fall in love with the idea of him!! And That’s Why she has the nosebleed in the end. But idk, Anyways this musicvideo is soooo pretty i’m so proud of Robbie!

This is song makes me think of how I feel about my best friend, we're both Aromantic and we've grown such a strong bond, the song reminds me of how they helped me to accept that I am aromantic and the strong bond we both grew, what I felt for them was the equivalent of a platonic crush. It also reminds me of how I desperately wanted someone to care and love for me, and how allonormativity used that to confuse me. This song will forever mean a lot to me.

@@BaranKamali-dx4fj non-binary is basically not identifying as a male or female. they're just people, therefore you cant really put them in a category with "girl" or "boy" (ex: "tomboy", "femboy"), that would mean they still identify as a girl or guy but they dont. they're just people. hope this helps you :)

I really liked the video. Idk if I interpreted it right or not but I think; yk how blue can signify sadness/depression, Robbie throwing up the blue in the starting maybe meant that he was dealing with it on his own and it was just overflowing, but as soon as he met the girl he was able to forget about his sadness. And even if it came back for a while she was able to help him get rid of it. However, she herself was facing the same thing and in someway maybe Robbie was able to help her while he was with her.

I thought the same thing. First the lyrics "throwing up brains through my mouth" as he's throwing up blue. Then the girl wiping away his blue signifying comfort from her company. And the girl also bleeds blue after they've said goodbye, showing that they're at least sad to leave each other, and that maybe she was also already feeling sad

I feel like they wanted to thank her for being so nice with them as she wiped their blue with a tissue each time but to me they also show that as she took care of their problems, she didn't take care of her own, kinda forgot them with them. So she puts herself after them but also she's healing without them needing to do anything. To me they're healing because she's obviously helping but she also is because their simple presence is enough for her to heal... Idk if it makes sense ???

Still the urge, the feeling to have someone loving me unconditionally, staying beside me despite my flaws; takes ahold of me from time to time. This song perfectly portraits my emotions.
