What I see as a gamer is CB radios is just like talking online with people around you playing a game.

such communication cannot be replaced by any internet or telephone. cb radio should be standard equipment in every car and truck.or uhf radio. and then it would be used for such purposes. it would fix traffic in general, accidents, and luck on the road, fun, etc. meeting people would be a special experience.

CB radio is unique. Should be standard equipment in vehicles (separately built into dashboard by mfr, or a car radio/cb combo in one unit by mfr...hit button and you are in CB mode). People can listen, see what the traffic problem is (10 min wait or 1 hr wait), and than decide to get off the road and take another route. Long traffic pile ups would decrease, as vehicles disperse taking alternate routes, and without you are sitting on the road clueless of what is going on. MOST IMPORTANT it would prevent those 50 car pileups on highways in winter or in bad fog and save lives. You have no way of warning the next vehicle about to become part of that 50 car pileup, but if everyone had CB, things like this would not happen. Of course, if everyone was allowed UHF (on one channel only for vehicles), it offers the advantage of a very short antenna. A CB (preferably UHF radio......only one channel needed should be standard on every vehicle, just as wireless hands free cell phone use in cars. If only one channel is designated for vehicles only, than licensing would not be required, since you cannot interfere with other channels....military, police, etc).

Well it’s a personal preference nowadays you can find out information with your phone years ago it was talking to each other old timers still run with them I talk to lots of drivers all the time on there Thanks for watching

That's a yes and a no.. They definitely aren't used as often as they were back in the 70s (practically everyone, even non-truckers had them), when they had the CB radio craze. There are still a good number of truck drivers who run the CB radio so they can listen for warnings and stuff. Then again, there are some newer drivers who don't think they need to use one, which can be a bit concerning. It's a VERY good idea for truck drivers to use their CBs, because face it, you never know when you might really need it. Suppose you have a broken taillight, loose load, etc. that you don't know about, you'd definitely want another driver to tell you over the CB, because how else can he convey the message? It is true that phones can help you find alternate routes, but getting a warning from another driver: it's not something he can call you over the phone for, because it's very unlikely that he knows your number. Plus some accidents like the ones that happen on I-80 every winter could be prevented or alleviated if more people would listen to warnings on the CBs (and not drive too fast for conditions).

@@TheNWClassA1218 agree with everything you say. but also if you have a loose load broken tail light or whatever than that means you maybe did not do your pre check before leaving or you would have noticed it. more drivers need too do that and some do not. it could get you fired as per company policy or DOT requirements. and I say yes too all truckers should have CB. they rely too much on cell phones what happens when you get out west somewhere and there is no cell coverage.?. you should absolutely have a CB radio. this video proves it.

Hello get yourself a cobra radio if you can find a cb shop you can get it worked on I did years ago had the power pumped up for better range A noise canceling microphone makes a huge difference on how you sound and a good antenna also helps thanks for watching
