I bought a 1976 CB750, Cherry Red metallic that had sat in a barn with a tarp covering it, sitting on a sheet of plywood and it looked like it had just been parked. I found out it had been sitting for some 20 plus years and the person selling it asked me if I would pay $500 for it. My heart almost stopped, I gave her much more and explained the rarity of the bike. She felt like she was taking advantage of me and I assured her the bike was well worth it. I had to go through the bike end to end but the final result was a great looking cafe racer that I later sold and have been kicking myself for doing so every since, nice find mate.

My God, where did you find that jewel? what memories. I bought this identical bike back in 77 in Bossier City La. Sure miss it. That little door on top of the tank will hold a pack of Marlboro 100s and not crush the pack. perfect fit. The 78 was the last year for the inline 4 SOHC. btw, that is a 1978. Mine I bought in October of 77 off the showroom floor.

Nice to see the old girl get a shower, looks like it was a long time coming. In my life, I have owned 3 CB750's. Low on power by today's standards. But a good reliable bike none the less.

Thatmanstu Moto Tours 1 second ago It is always a bad idea to use a pressure washer on a motorcycle..Seals and bearings are easily penetrated by the tiny water particles shot at (relatively)high pressure at them. Same for wiring connections, switches,as well as emblems and decals taking a beating. etc...A high volume stream using a purpose formulated cleaner(never dish soap or other degreasing formulas on the bikes finish or lubrication points) is much safer.

I just purchased a 79 cb750f super sport barn find with 4165 miles on it. Its covered in dust but it's surprisingly cleaner then this one. Set in a barn for 30+ years. What did you spray on it before you pressure washed it?

If you cant see the unrestored bike then dont ever restore bikes. He did that to save a lot of shit later. Hopefully there are unseize bolts. And a full restoration has taken place since this video was made. He feckin lucky. no restorer would ever leave rust on the shocks. even after jetwash!!!

I am 72 years old and I have sold Harley's and Honda's. I love both bikes. One of my first experiences riding with older guys was listening to them. I traveled around Minnesota with one that found bikes in barns like crazy. Usually under hay bails. I believe that you can be successful at the things that you believe in. I have never lost money on either kind of bike and I rode hard. I chopped both and had just one wonderful time doing it. If you doubt this video you may not have had much experience. Try believing in yourself first. I hope that you have the same luck I did. You may not know all there is to know about bikes but you sure can be a friend to the guys that are good with them. You do what you can and let them do what they do. If you do not know this bike I feel bad for you. It is one of the best bikes ever made. There is always something faster but that usually depends on the driver. Fast isn't all there is but those open roads that go everywhere sure are. I would leave home and go where ever, some times for days. I just hate it when someone says that a thing can't be done or that's fake. This life is so short. Stop talking about what doesn't work and make something work, like this guy did. Please don't introduce yourself, I can't stand winning either!

I am busy restoring a CB750 that was in a similar condition standing for nearly 30 years and it's been a challenge but I ran it again for the first time on Friday and it sounds gorgeous - there are some peculiarities to the CB that you will encounter that I have overcome let me know if you need help along the way - assuming you restore her

Lovely condition !!! That must have been one hell of a dry barn ...Could be fake ... Japanese bikes of the 70's were so prone to corrosion, with cheap chrome plate, body paint thin and spraying the bike like this is potentially pretty damaging ... Never used water on any of the 78 bikes I've owned... Johnsons Multi Surface Cleaner and WD 40 only ... Use Brasso on stainless steel , with an old bathroom towel to wipe everything ... Job done ... NB The seat foam because of being so old will be brittle and if sprayed like this will disintergrate and turn to powder... After so much time the chrome should lift when being sprayed , maybe I'm wrong , could be and after watching this I'm still not sure ... Low humidity , with a very dry atmosphere...? Even the clock's plastics seemed clear still , they would normally got an opaque colour and become very dull ... Whatever, it's a good find and in great condition ...

I got an $100 sohc cb750 1975 barn find too. Exept i was missing all the covers tank/oil tank and fenders. It was out side for at least 2 years and in a shed for over a decade. The rust or corosion even here michigan was not much. All rubbed out with a little effort. Some people think this is not a barn find. Some "barn finds" are all covered and well preserved, dont see why it cant be.

Possibly yes, just let it sit in a dry covered area with low moisture, dust and what not will preserve for a little while, Drain the gas so tank does not rot from inside out.

Most of you Naysayers don't know what you're talking about. I believe it to be a barn find. The bike was most likely stored correctly in a low humidity environment and out of the elements. Probably picked up from a dry region in the U.S. They do come along. Very nice find by the way and it cleaned up nicely. Good luck to the new owner. The bike looked it had been some one's pride and joy at some point.
