The Vancouver Aquarium is about to get a lot cuter with the arrival of Rialto, a baby sea otter found stranded on a Washington beach in early August.

Was the cone Rialto was hugging the same orange cone that Joey is using? This is so cute! Really cool to see the area that Joey is staying right now. Really hope these two will get along well once our little Joey grows up a bit more :D

This program said it cost $32,000 a year to feed a Otter but I just listens to another program that said it cost $16,000. It doesn't even cost $16,000 a year for a human to eat even if we had see food.

They need more food than us in order to live, they dont have blubber like many other sea mammals so they have fur, the fur is water resistant so water can't get in, but they need put a lot of energy in to clean it, it takes up to 3 hours depending on how much fur it has (possibly 1million hairs per square), so they need the energy.

Very sweet little man. Otters are about as dangerous as they look by the way. It’s not a cute but deadly thing. They are very harmless.

Rodolphe Fouquet Maybe someone might leave you to die if you were to get pneumonia ! You never know.

So you'd rather have them die and get torn into a nice meal by predators in the wild since they don't have the skills to survive in the wild rather than live in captivity with 24/7 care? Fucking hate these righteous animal activists who think they're the shit.
