I know Neil can't be replaced entirely but there a ton of amazing drummers they should be auditioning again. Even girls/women. KZfaq has insane female drummers. I dare Getty and Alex. @@natevm7888 it's time for Geddy & Alex to being able to enjoy their lives whatever that looks like to each of them. They are both staying busy and happy with different pursuits and I feel lucky to be able to enjoy the content that we still get to see from them ever since 2015 when Rush ended, and we still get to enjoy so much from throughout their entire history. I am enjoying music that Alex is involved in post-Rush, I love Geddy's memoire and tv show, and I am sure we'll see more of what gives them satisfaction in the future. I discovered Rush in the 80s in high school, and was fortunate to see them live many times over the years, with my best friend standing beside me at all but one of the forty seven shows. The songs they wrote were notes left on the trail of life, for people like us to discover. Don't miss this good bit. Watch out for this section. Don't forget to enjoy the trip. After their retirement, I couldn't help but feel a little lost. I'm wandering on the trail will less guidance... no more notes from people farther up the trail. Then the tragic loss of Neil, and a strong sense of mourning looking for an outlet. My Effing Life was a wonderful read, and provided that outlet, and sense of closure I was looking for. Thank you Mr. Lee for sharing with us, and thanks to everyone that was part of Rush for entertaining us, enlightening us, and giving us a little bit of guidance walking this path behind you.

Life is way too short, and it goes by way too fast. Everything... every single day and memorable experience, from your first kiss, to your first car, to your first trip to Europe, to the seemingly endless days of youth, to all the precious days spent with family now deceased, to memories of sweet pets, to your first RUSH or LED ZEPPELIN concert, to raising a child... it all becomes an overwhelming blur towards the end, when you realize the years in front of you are short now, and the existential finality of life coming to an end will negate and wipe out all the beauty and goodness that this brief spark of life gave us...

Any wonder folks love Rush music….these two guys wrote such complicated and complex music and yet you would love to hang out with them…as down to earth and uniquely “Canadian” as they come. They were focused, worked hard and deserve every ounce of their fame and fortune. Geddy is such a mature, humorous man and Alex is just a quick witted quipper of quips…more licks in these lads than the best Labrador Retriever you could ever own. So sad their mate Neil has left us…never one for the limelight but also a stand up human being whom was as kind as they come. He also wrote the lyrics which clearly showed his brilliance along with his absolute stunning drumming skills. RIP Neil. Alex and Geddy perhaps one day will carry on and make new music although I for one can understand how they may want to coast a bit and just chill with family, friends and fans. A true example of how one can achieve such great things by focus, hard work, honesty and sticking to beliefs of humanity. God Bless.

She even cried a bit before the show started and when I asked her Why she said, "Dad, they're in the building here with us now." I wish I had had a cool philosophical response to her rather spiritual reaction, instead I said "Yeah, that's how it works." Dumb dad moment.

I turned 60 at the end of last year and Rush have been part of my life since the late 70's. Alex and Geddy are such exemplary musicians and human beings. Incredibly funny and unaffected by their fame and fortune. Geddy Lee's book ( which I'm still listening to on Audible) has in Chapter Three one of the most moving and affecting pieces of writing I have ever heard, read by the man himself too. It concerns his Parents' and family's horrendous experiences during WW2. It really is a miracle that he ever was born and therefore Rush ever existed and I, as I'm sure anyone watching this will agree, we should be so humbled and grateful for this fact ❤.

Thank You to Geddy and Alex and the creative team and producer(s) and director(s) for this wonderful videotaping of a very genuine conversation between two men who have been best friends, obviously, since 7th grade and have spent the next 60 years together creating incredible music that has not only given them pleasure and wonderful careers and lots of wealth beyond the monetary part of thirty business, but they gave the world music that changed our lives and the way we see the world and an escape from reality when we needed it, sometimes very badly needing that. To be a proverbial fly on the wall, or maybe a person sitting in the booth next to Alex and Geddy in some pub , is how it felt to listen to them carry-on as if they were the only ones who could hear them talking and laughing was a special way of getting an interview with the two of them that they didn't have to put on a game face to answer questions asked by some Jo urnalist. Thanks for seeing the human beings behind the genius of one of the best bands of the last 40 years. Neil is greatly missed but will never be forgotten and Gsddy and Alex won't ever let that happen.

I've never really been a Rush fan, but as a Canadian deeply involved with music, I've seen come to see what a massively important band they are. I appreciate their legacy, and how fervent their fans are and have been. My favourite part about them is actually their personalities. Alex is really weird in the best way, they all have a great sense of humour, and their banter back and forth reminds me a lot of the guys I grew up with and still play music with. It's great to see a band as big as they are not dysfunctional, and are still great friends. Edit: Crazy they opened for Hawkwind! The stories, the stories

For some of these individuals who attended this event, and are complaining of not seeing the entire segment posted: There was also the Q&A part with George Stroumboulopoulos, which was another hour. I think CBC's goal was to just have the part with Geddy and Alex interacting with one another and sharing stories. The history of those two seeing concerts and performing at the Massey Hall venue is probably another factor as well. Be grateful that this is uploaded to be viewed at all. Thank you.

Incredibly grateful to grow up with this music and have record albums with the lyrics. To know the words to Rush songs to this day! Now all the songs are depressing and about bad break ups. Long live the 70's rock n roll. "Begin the day with a friendly voice, a companion unobtrusive, plays that song that so illusive and the magic music makes your morning mood!" Like wtf? Knowing and using these words as a young teenager in high school? Give me one band in this day that compares.

The Christmas I was about to get my first guitar... Much Music was on the tube and I heard and saw the live performance for "Marathon" from "A Show of Hands". It knocked me out and changed my life forever. That moment was the reason I picked up a bass. Geddy's book is the greatest music biography I have read to date. Heartwarming, funny and powerful. Left me speechless and I am still trying to find the words to give it a proper review that it deserves. Please buy it if you haven't already. Shoutout to Daniel Richler for his contributions to this masterwork of musical literature.

My God, just riveting as always. Somehow all my memories seem to flood back listening to these gods of rock speak. Whilst I’m in Australia and never had the pleasure of seeing these gods play live, yet somehow I have many memories of listening to Rush on my portable tape player whilst travelling to and from school daily. These guys were a part of my daily life, and the cherished memories of envisioning myself being part of a larger crowd watching them play live will never leave. Thanks for all you have gifted the world. Forever grateful for your music.

Geddy is spot on regarding Alex's resilience and brighter outlook. Lifeson's humour is scattered all over their 40 years. It's evident in his phrasing and quirky chops. His picking speed and he can easily move away from the rhythm, which being the best, led to opening a lot of creativity. You always want to be with people that challenge you and imo, when i first heard them, they simply challenged each other and channelled it. Their story is mind blowing and as Canadian as it gets.

Working man was my very first RUSH song to ever learn in 1975. I was 15 and had just started playing guitar. The second was Spirit of the Radio which I played with a tapping technique because I still couldn’t pick it quite fast enough. That was the beginning of my becoming a die hard RUSH fan. Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, Temple of Syrinx(the whole thing!) which I awash learning during my Third Middle East tour in the Military. What a blast it has been to follow and be able to play your music these many years you guys. Music has carried me through many hard times and you guys have always been right there beside me the whole ride! Thank you🙏🙏🙏

A much as I have been a big follower of Rush since Movingly Pictures, and as entertaining and heartwarming that this cool video is, I am glad I didn't waste my hard earned $$ to attend this journey down memory lane when it can easily be read in Geddy's phenomenal book. I am sure, at the cheapest, the tickets were close to a couple a hundred bucks and I won't even try to guess at the floors cost. Just my opinion. Sometimes people need to take a few minutes and put things in perspective.
