Can your swap a 2009 CBR 1000rr motor and put it on a 2012 1000rr frame with no wire problem? Like do u have to do any major wiring?

Most things will fit fine but you lose gear indicator. theres a few people who have done this

@@Jonj57 I just swapped everything, except the frame. So now I have a 2012 rr instead of 09

I can't believe you did that without a steering stem stand.
@gripsanity
@gripsanity 3 жыл бұрын
A stem stand is honestly less stable. Because it only has one point of contact that it will pivot on.
@brianmeuse7595

@@gripsanity huh? A pin one inch up a tube is less stable than your fork resting on two rubber nubs when you're wrestling out an engine by yourself? Sure, whatever you say.
@gripsanity
@gripsanity 3 жыл бұрын
@@brianmeuse7595 Put the front end up with either stand and no rear stand. See how it goes. Will show you the stability difference. Pretty simple, contact points 3 vs 4

@@gripsanity I didn't say anything about no rear stand. That would obviously be foolish. You're taking this personally. I'm saying this, watching this because I just rebuild a fireblade and I had your stand and didn't want to buy stem stand, but I'm glad I did because I did it myself and like what you said about that hose clamp, things can need a wiggle. Dropping the bike would mean a smashed pan, strainer, sensor, why risk it? Your video was fairly thorough, I liked it enough.

@@brianmeuse7595 Not taking it personally, just explaining the difference. I have a triple tree stand but was less stable for me. Although could be due to it being a cheap one. Not a Pitbull or one of higher quality

Hey where do you get your engines from? I’m looking for an 08 motor for mine
@gripsanity
@gripsanity 3 жыл бұрын
Crispy Rider EBay, I definitely recommend you buying a newer year motor so you don’t potentially get a bad one with oil consumption issues. Since it fits in and swaps with no issues.
@CrispyRRider

@@gripsanity do you know up to what year can you swap it?
@gripsanity
@gripsanity 3 жыл бұрын
@@CrispyRRider I don't remember exactly, you should google around and check the forums to confirm. Its something like 2008-2015. 2011 and up don't have the piston ring/oil consumption issues.
