@@SportbikerNZ how do you think these 2 would compare? Ninjas use a timing chain instead of gears.
@SportbikerNZ
@SportbikerNZ 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrKkdkk I prefer gear driven cams given how trouble free they've been on the MC22. When engineered properly they are set-and-forget, no need to open the motor for chain replacement. I can't compare except what I've seen on paper. Both have the same horsepower. The MC22 is much lighter at 158kg vs zx25r 180kg. Twin brake discs on MC22 vs single on the Ninja. ZX25r quickshifter would be nice to have, and the foot peg height is probably higher.

I miss my old 4 cylinder CBR250 I used to rev it like this every day and it never broke down. Mine was the MC17 blue, white, red with twin discs and red wheels 1987 model, red line was 18,000 rpm. it did 90 kph (55 mph) in first gear and topped out at 180 kph (110mph) None of the new CBR's have the screaming character of the old bikes. Bring back 4 cylinder 250's!

The latest CBR250RR is well made. The design is amazing. The technology and features is almost like big bikes. But the only problem it is 2 cylinders. Honda missed a big chance to dominate the world in 250cc with their screaming inline 4 which was in their older CBR250RR( the same bike model in the video). Even with 2 cylimders,they still beat the latest Ninja ZX25R eventhuough the ninja has 4 cylinders. Just imagine if they made the CBR with 4 cylinders,seriously,there will be no rival. I was dissapointed a bit but still bought it and now im happy. No complains whatsoever. Every single thing is very good but damn i miss that inline 4 screaming sound man. Its unbeatable. Im talking strictly about 250cc only. Please dont bring in bigger displacement bikes in this conversation because i didnt talk about them and it will not be fair for 250cc.

However the front did start to bottom in a few spots under heavy braking so have increased the fork oil level just recently. I haven’t really had the opportunity to test the new setup fully though.

do realize it's much easier to corner on a small and nimble bike, right? Not only much easier, but SO MUCH EASIER. a 250 could beat any 600 on a very twisty mountain road. Not just could, but SHOULD, with any semi competitive rider....
@uncleputes
@uncleputes 9 жыл бұрын
TheSpyChecker Although if you over brake for corners, it's harder to regain speed unlike riding a more powerful bike, I wouldn't say it's easy, I'd say it's different, although it's a light bike, it's unsprung weight isn't to good add lack of power and that's a bad combination....My RR is basically stock and I find myself going up against much bigger bikes often, I can only stay ahead in the technical sections but when the road straightens up they just reel me in like I was stood still.
@TheSpyChecker
@TheSpyChecker 9 жыл бұрын
Oh no doubt. The twistier the road is, the easier it will be to go quicker on a 250. But get a skilled rider on a 600 and you'll stand no chance. I won't even mention straights, as obviously more torque = faster.
@uncleputes

Radoslav Stefanov They are great bikes. Nothing particular to look out for. The motors are very solid and no cam chain tensioning to worry about as they use gear driven cams. Check the oil level and go for a ride. If the footpeg and handgrip rubber is very worn it may have gone around the clock - over 100,000 k's.

Mate I want to purchase one of these some day as a second bike to go with my bigger CBR650F. But I’ve never ridden without ABS and that’s a big concern for me, how does one go about this hahahaha 😅
@SportbikerNZ
@SportbikerNZ 4 ай бұрын
Ignore ABS for track. Unless it's one of the latest, sophisticated systems on some flagship super bikes, it'll slow your lap times down bad. Brake hard. When rear wheel gets floaty you're doing it right (track riding) For street, very few people with ABS have ever braked hard enough to have it activate on the front wheel. I personally don't care about it, but can understand newbies being concerned. The basic ABS systems on many bikes kicks in far too early for my liking. My ninja 400's ABS kicked in dangerously early during hard braking over bumps, sending me wide. I couldn't stand it, so disabled it. I wouldn't recommend a newbie do that though.

Front tire is stock. 150 wide on the rear. Exhaust is 4 into 2 into 1 which came with the bike when I bought it. The muffler is a non-branded unit off ebay. No bike mods.

I just love this bike. I have one myself and videos on my channel of it. I love it SO much that I haven't taken it to a track :( I alos love how the bikes very nimble, agile nature is clear to see on the track :)

It is a wonderful bike. Faithfully reliable. Most people sell these bikes after getting their full licenses, but I can't part with mine. Still use it, still love it.

+AâŠîm Sakharkar ; Yes is true, my CBR250R beside this machine is just almost a toy; and about pilot, sometimes i used to ask to myself, how is possible that pilots like this one don´t run in the professional categories!
