Yeah, I've always been of the opinion that there's no better show to listen to than CBSRMT when installing toilet flappers. They just go hand-in-hand! :-)

This story is an elaboration of an M.R. James story. I'm surprised he is not mentioned or properly credited.
@martywood8543 Жыл бұрын
I totally agree. They should have mentioned that it's based on 'The Mezzotint' by M.R. James.

This is based on the M R James story The Mezzotint. One of my favorites. Story is much scarier.

It is. I know that story well. I agree, the original is scarier.

I've just listened to 3 or 4 of these this afternoon, having one just come up in my feed. I didn't know there were so many of these things, and I had no idea they ran into the 70's, and I saw one dated early 80's. Back in the early 80's my mom and I were traveling to see grandparents for Christmas and we heard one of The Shadow stories. I was like 12 or so. Always wanted to listen to more. Also, another thought comes to mind... these are like The Twilight Zone for the radio. 😊

Did you know that The Shadow radio show is also on KZfaq? I’ll drop you a link if you can’t find it. Thanks, btw I had never heard of that one; you have me interested to listen to it, now 🙂 Cheers!

I ❤️ these! As far-fetched as some of them might be, (it doesn’t stretch my suspension of disbelief that so many supernatural things could happen, like a moving mezzotint à la MR James, but also in this story - imagine finding two Renoirs and an undocumented Van Gogh in a house you inherited? That’s a stretch 😉Thanks so much 😊

It should've been credited at least. It's from the 19th century story, so likely long out of copyright.
