I did not love the Barbie movie. I was excited to see it, and my expectation was that I would love it. I love Barbie. The movie didn’t go deep enough for me as far as explaining how the Barbie's got to see what it was like all the time for the Kens. Adults will get the message, of course, but the younger kids watching will likely not really grasp it. As much as I love empowering women, I was disappointed that they still weren't ready for equality at the end of the movie. The Kens could start being judges in the lower courts, but no Supreme Court seats for them.
