Күн бұрынSitting atop this mountain's 5,700-foot tall peak is the iconic Mount Wilson Observatory. Two of the three telescopes, the 60-inch and 100-inch, were the largest of their time in the world for decades. Today, however, only one of the observatory's three telescopes is still used for astronomy.

How do you get there I wonder. Where's the road up? I'm going to put it on my list. I'm just a few miles away in San Diego so why not. Ty for the info

@Harry Zombie Because this is where Erwin Hubble discovered that 1) there are other galaxies in space and 2) that the universe is expanding. It changed the way we viewed the universe more profoundly than anything since Galileo.
