We're on Red Alert due to the extreme heat and possible severe thunderstorms across the Tri-State Area on Sunday. Meteorologist Vanessa Murdock breaks down the advisories in place, and CBS New York's Ali Bauman checked in on New Yorkers doing their best to keep cool in the heat.

@@ericlipps9459 there has never been any snow where I live in South Carolina. Being from Michigan and raised in Canada it wouldn't be a problem. Now where my daughter lives in Raleigh, they have seen snow flakes.

Technically, a heat wave is three straight days of 90-plus daytime highs. This wasn't made up by the evil "liberal media" just to peddle the idea of global warming; that standard has been in place for decades.

Haha funny name and funny dot on the map. Been there a lot as a kidlet. But you gotta admit it gets super hot in that area, and heatstroke never really produces afterlives even in florida.
