My aunt has worked for the Lauders for entire career. My cousin was the graphic designer of one of their lines, and an ex-boyfriend was the family's ski instructor. Leonard and their whole family are intelligent, hard-working, kind and down to earth. Great interview. Extremely nice man and nice family. :-)

@@gardensofthegods just one. Leonard left his phone in my boyfriend's car (boyfriend was his ski instructor in Aspen) He called and asked if I could return the phone. Ugh. Yes. 25 mile drive, but I did. It was somewhere between 1992 and 1994. I got to his house. He poured a glass of wine that he said he would later share with his guests. He said it was going to be an interesting night because 10 billionaires would be around the dinner table that night, a rare event in that year. He gave me a glass of wine that ten billionaires would also share that night. He appreciated that it was a slog for me to return his phone. He thanked me in a meaningful way, shared a story of the night to come, gave me a taste of wine I could never afford. Leonard was just nice to me in a very human and meaningful, normal way. I understood in that moment why my aunt had worked for his family for her whole career. Nice family. Very nice, normal people.

@@nitanice Very nice story , and quite fascinating , thank you . Those expensive rare vintage wines are like real medicine . I didn't really understand about the wine mystique decades ago until somebody gave us a small amount of a rare aged Bordeaux ... about a half-hour later we felt as if we've been given some kind of magical Elixir of Life . Even many wine drinkers will never have that experience ... especially like YOUR experience .

@@gardensofthegods err..umm...I didn't even have that experience. Leonard was so excited that this was kind of a first and that he was so excited AND was sharing the wine with me -- I wish I could remember that wine, but I don't. I just remember Leonard being excited and trying to share the moment with me. That's what was sweet. :-)

I met the amazing Estee Lauder many years ago. I was a young art director traveling to New York for a some sort of business trip - I always hated them, because I usually had pages to design back home and those junkets seemed like a waste of my time. EXCEPT on this one evening where we all ended up in a tiny bar - don't remember the name of it. And there, sitting at a small table up against the wall was the doyenne, Estee. She was regal and sweet and very old even then, but so revered and obviously loved. She was very kind to me, I'm sure I was quite awkward. But I cherish that memory and when her son Leonard said he only wanted to be remembered for "listening...and for being kind..." I knew EXACTLY where that came from.

And the reason why everyone has a gift of free gift with purchase is because of Mrs Estee Lauder. When she would come to someone home as a guest she will leave a little piece of her with them a cute little compact a sample of her cream, so that's how free gifts with purchase started because of her oh she's a magnificent I'm sorry was a magnificent woman oh my goodness. My aunt used to have a cosmetics membership which sent her samples of different products probably every month or every other month. She always kept them and gave them out as little gifts. One year she gave me a small bar of Estee Lauder soap. I always kept it in the drawer with my under garments. The fragrance was wonderful. I still have that bar of soap and the little dish it came in. It was too pretty to use. I love the way it scents my drawer! Unfortunately the one fragrance I love (Youth Dew) doesn’t agree with the. However I enjoy Beautiful and Pleasures to this day. Thank you Estee for many years of pleasurable scents!

Thank you for this video. Have a Wonderful and Blessed day. As we can all see wickedness has become rampant in this world. The Bible God's holy world told us about the last days and we are in them. We are living in the last days according to the word of God we read it in 2 Timothy: 2Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 2Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 2Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; We see things that were once considered evil and wrong are now right and applauded. Things that were right and true are now considered wrong, evil, and wicked. Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! The Lord died on the cross at Calvary for all shades of people. He also rose from the dead. One day he's coming back, ands what a Glorious day that will be. Please call upon Jesus today fOR salvation WE MUST BE BORN-AGAIN. John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
