So you're right that asking sex is not the same as asking for gender, but you're also completely wrong that there are only two sexes - Intersex would fall under nonbinary, as it is a spectrum, and is very real. There are sexes that have varying degrees of alternative XY chromosome combinations that express themselves in different ways, leaving someone neither strictly one or the other. It is uncommon and at times rare, but it still very valid and possible within the human species.

Edit: meant this to the Kyo person. But this works. Gender and sex was the same thing previously around 20+ years ago. On each and every government sheet or company sheet you had to sign and out your “gender” on not sex. In fact it was only recently that was added. So no your incorrect. It was later amended to Gender being this social construct. Mostly due to activism and all these “moments” sad to see people arbitrarily changing things to suit themselves. Especially when regardless of everything there is only 4 primary genders/sexes. Male, Female, hermaphrodite, and well one that idk the name of but it’s basically when your born with neither male or female parts or chemistry in the body. All other sexes/genders fall under those 4 broad categories. Since of the Y and X chromosomes can often be different then Normal in amount. Like having 2 Y chromosomes and 1 X chromosome for example or 3 X chromosomes and no Y chromosomes. As for the whole current gender thing? It’s completely bullshit and is ripping apparent our society currently with record low marriage, high divorce rates and a extremely high rate of single mothers raising children. It’s the sad result of dissolving all social norms. People always want to be unique which is understandable. But radically changing society to fit you isn’t. And unfortunately that’s what has been done. The whole LGBQ thing unfortunately had been blown out of proportion. As only a very small number of people are born with gender dysphoria or anything that causes them to think as the opposite gender. Like a % of 0.1% of people. But the amount of trans today? Is ridiculous. It’s all due to peer pressure or thinking it’s socially acceptable and would let the fit into friend circles. That and some parents pushing it on their children. Or simply being trans parents. As unfortunately children are influenced subconsciously to imitate their parents…. And if their trans their gonna try to imitate it and eventually become it. When they aren’t actually “trans” and don’t have the correct condition. Of course someone without fulling understanding what I said. May accuse me of transphobia, bigoted or something(happens often enough with random people who don’t know anything lol) Edit: also forgot to add. But I’m not as I do have 1 transgender close cousin and 1 who’s also a good online friend to play with. It’s just simply the trans thing has gone out of control and those who aren’t are forcing themselves into it. As the percentage of people who are actually trans(has the mental condition(fyi doesn’t mean a bad thing))are much lower then the number of trans people that there are in the world currently, While people can do what they want with themselves I really do question the direction of society currently.

Which intersex already is around less than .05% of all children born, and likely exponentially less than that, but I'm rounding up to air on caution. Bringing up intersex, as if it has any effect on the fact that there are only two sexes, just shows that you are completely ignorant of the topics you argue about. The exception does not change the rule. The beyond rare existence of the minority within a minority of people who are intersex does not have any effect on the sexual binary of Male and Female.
