On average, one player's salary on a T4 team currently exceeds the entire budget of a bottom team. Don't think a salary cap is the way to go, but it's definitely top heavy

OpTic did get beat.......by Simp. I'm an OpTic fan, but hats off to Chris Lehr. He was final boss, and I even got mad but was impressed when he started getting hot. Less than standard, but you can't delve on it all the time. Ggs FaZe, and great show.

Fazes subs took turns upper cutting their entire team was gunning. Sometimes they’re absolutely going to do that to you. Optic takeaways I think they clearly improved this stage like Kenny’s teams generally do, they need to keep grinding. To me I think they’re day to day in S&D ya never know what your getting it just feels shaky at times, HP they gotta keep expanding map pool. Control I hate as a game type but they’re good at it

I don’t like being a hater, but Ace just drives me nuts in these. Ice cold takes & bad jokes paired with a loud voice is just an L for me. Id like to see him take a more serious tone like Rab & Zero. Everyones ego gets COLLOSAL when they join faze. Arcitys was flipping off the crowd and dropping f bombs in interviews. Slasher was saying "I taught them how to play". And now draz is tossing money around on stream, and mocking orgs for being their CEO. Now 2/3 of them are at rock bottom of the league, as soon as theres a slip up faze will dump him to the curb, he'll fall down the ladder until he's apologizing for being a dumbass

When the faze, Toronto, and New York guys lose it feels like it’s everything to them and they take it personally. Absolutely. The reason the dynasty did so well was bc Formal&Crim didn’t accept empty excuses. Scump is my GOAT, but he had a bad habit of making these type of excuses as well. It’s a mentality/culture issue that stifles improvement

Also I feel like optic will not beat faze here because they are just not as good as them straight up they need however I feel like if optic was able to win a tournament. This was the one to win as they were peaking it felt . I feel like they need like a crazy leader / slayer type player that creates a solid structure or leads the pack slightly I feel? I'm glad there was some realistic judgement of Boston. Hearing Doug try and cover dropping their two best players was faded. By the way Trei, random question. Do you think the latter half of your career would have been different if you won back-to-back tournaments in IW? You honestly should have beaten LG both times so I'm wondering if that would have changed your career and future teams moving forward.

What Ace was saying about expansion and top heavy whatever is absolutely stupid lol. Sounds like a guy who took a few college classes and trying to apply some theory to this and it has no relevance haha. I think the biggest thing is that more teams would give higher chances of young up and comers getting a chance. Every year we get a few rookies who never got the chance and sure some don't stick but some do. You add more teams and that's more chances. There's only so many spots on the T4 teams so eventually it'll get to 5, 6, 7, etc. teams with great talent. He's acting like the T4 teams would just somehow buy the new talent even if they have 4 and those new guys will just chill on the bench lmao. Makes no sense.

We have Invasion and Subbase in the map pool and Trei said seriously Skidrow should get taken out? Because of a bad P2... this is just lost. Skidrow has at least real spawns. If i wouldnt know it better, i would think he never had played those maps...

yes Faze are always locked cuz there are some weeks when Faze's cdl players arent streaming on twitch but they are Scrimming and focusing on the important matches to get them into winners bracket. As for Optic their players are streaming almost everyday or doing content for their youtube when they should be Focusing on their important matches during the online qualifiers.

1:27:22 can we talk about how bad hardpoint plays on these maps, rotating at 60?!? For reference in Bo2 when karma was LITERALLY dropping a 27 kill streak in Yemen HP NV was up 100 points, hardpoint,spawns,and rotations are SO BAD that the games are more competitive because the spawns just make it mixy, or the team that rotates can nearly guarantee a full 60 on these hills in Narnia even if they have my grandmother on main AR, this game is chalked, get all the 2009 maps out, bring in legacy hp maps and waterboard the dev team that invented these spawns

My issue with Exceed is that no one deserves anything in life. If you work hard enough and Become undeniable like rab said then you might be given an opportunity. Exceed thinks just because he wins challengers and is a good player that he has to be given an opportunity when in reality he doesn’t have to be given anything. He is extremely entitled and some orgs look at conversations like these on podcasts and can decide not to given him an opportunity solely based on his entitlement as a player. Most players that are trying to go pro in challengers never even get ONE shot at the league like Exceed did, sometimes all you get is ONE shot and if you don’t impress then it is what it is. He needs to humble himself.

Tbh i would take vista hp in instead of Subbase and would take departures in at least for 2 modes instead of 2 modes invasion. If not all 3 invasion modes cause of the snd wallbang spots. This map isnt playable in all 3 modes. Not with this wallbangs, not with this spawns and not if you dont want to die because of boringness during watching a control.

I think whichever team out of NY/Faze/Optic dont win champs the other 2 are attempting appropriately an $800k+ buyout for scrap this off season. That makes me feel like NY is less likely to bid that amount, but i don't see a world where if optic/faze lose champs this year they arent making a blockbuster move for scrap. In this hypothetical ultra are basically in a rebuild/salary dump year if scrap leaves cause i dont think they can easily fill that role

@@Painless-_-69 I believe in this year's off-season he's in his "team option" of his contract which to my understanding means they decide if they give him another offer, but if teams are saying "we'll take him and pay this buyout" they have the opportunity to do that too. Not 100% certain tho

If optic were to trade dashy one year for scrape especially is interesting but dashy been with gree wall forever I don't think they would ever trade best friends with everyone there . I’ve unfortunately suffered from substance abuse in the past, and through that I’ve learned that skills that you master/learn while under the influence of a certain substance, can only be reproduced while under the influence of said substance. And I’ve seen and experienced a lot of examples of this. So if he’s been doing this since the beginning, he’s become dependent on that state. Trust me I know a lot abt addiction and substance abuse. So it definitely is a valid question

I HATE that we are of the opinion that if a map is shit, that's it get rid of it. I HATE that we can't just tweak maps... why can't we, for example, take departures control/hardpoint and make suggestions of how to improve them abd then develop act on it. Let's make these cool makes playa ke competitively instead of having cool maps that a shite and don't work....

I think Ace completely missed the point of what dashy said. Abe and simp don’t go as nuclear if Brandon/AG play to their own standard. He wasn’t mentioning that they just wouldn’t be as locked on any given Sunday. Just simply stated if he and ag play better they likely win some maps, not even necessarily win.

Also zero/ace saying "they do this every Sunday" literally 2 Sundays in 3 titles faze have played like the best team in the venue. Once in mw2 and once in mw3, optic put in a little more emphasis on finding the right kills and they win half those respawns

@@Temqtatixn yea I think people grasp too strongly to the k/d's in that matchup, faze have won nearly every respawn, and generally been much more clutch in crunch times of maps which is obvious going to result in extremely skewed kill death ratios. That being said almost all the hardpoints have been 50 or less points differentials, when people pretend optic can never beat them it's INSANELY faded haha

If the recent 2 titles are anything it's that "obj" is a mindset more than a role, and anybody can play any role. That's not to say sub scrap in and have him play like dashy has been, but the "roles" in cod are alot more flexible then people pretend

Why is everyone saying the slasher move is insane or something? One of the ar's had to go and I don't think there was an obvious answer considering their terrible snd record. Asim gone is insane though, snoopy has to just go back to challengers for a bit. Penta and beans in is fine though, asim should offset the beans comms at least a little bit, unlike snoopy

dashy is right. him and pred didn't play very well and they still barely lost the respawns. yea you might not get another 1.18 out of kenny in the next GF but if dashy and pred play up to their level then kenny doesnt need to drop a 1.18. i think optic understands the mind set they need to have. they know they need to be better, but they also know they can absolutely beat faze. they got unlucky that simp/abezy played the best cod they've played in years together on that day. if simp/abezy play the way they played against Theives/Subliners then i absolutely think optic win that final. sometimes players just have an incredible series and there isnt shit you can do about it. but to act like optic shouldnt look at that series realistically is crazy. they've got kenny and karma, they arent going to get complacent like they might have in years past.

The league needs to go. Make it similar to Halo. 2k and 5k weekend tourneys for pool play seeds (top 12) with 4 pool play spots coming from open bracket tourney on the weekend on the major. The top 8 teams at the end of the year are the partner teams and get to make skins etc for revenue. Would fix this issue of pro not being in the league. If they're good enough they'll make it higher through the bracket/into pool play.
