Leaving Wolf Creek Pass, we head back in to the snowy San Juans. Hail, thunderstorms, high ridges and steep snowy mountains await.

Great job! It’s tough terrain without the snow, but the soft snow is bad news. Awesome views that you captured! Looking forward to Silverton. You’re going to see one of the best segments of the hike. Admire your determination. Stay safe! 😀👍

Great video & I am glad u two decided to stick together. The more & more I watch the many CDT21 vlogs, the more I am thinking that my CDT hike in ‘22 will be Mexico to Colorado, plane or bus to Rawlins, WY & then hike to Canada & then return to Rawlins to hike south to Chama.. Starting to look st all the travel options, bus & or plane, we will see , it will be an adventure. I kinda hope that I find someone along the way that would like join me on the journey. Of course, if is is a low snow year in MT, then SOBO would be okay. I am having fun following the FB grp: Continental Divide Class of 2021. Keep on plugging Jen.

There are certainly people who do it that way and are happy they did. The snow is type 2 fun for sure.

Haha, I do say it one time in the CDT series. But it's a bit later than this video. My trail name is Nono.

It's nice to see! You provide good narrative about your activities, in a positive tone even when there are challenges. We got some 'monsoon' rain in Arizona, which is the technical term but doesn't paint the picture of what kind of rain it is. It's some thunder, some hail, but mostly on and off showers. Have a safe trip! Oh, I thought of something fun if you pack a wing suit, is to fly off one of those mountains so you don't have to walk all the way down! ;-)
@JeniferJourneys3 жыл бұрын
I love the wing suit idea! There were certainly a few times I envisioned zip lines in convenient locations.

Silverton? I hope you mean Salida or you’re going the wrong way!
@SDSsongs3 жыл бұрын
Silverton is the next trail town NOBO after Pagosa Springs on the CDT. Then Lake City, then Salida. If you're going directly to Salida from Pagosa, that would involve using one of the shorter alternates.
@bocomocla3 жыл бұрын
Well, you go through Silverton on the Colorado Trail on your way to Durango. Silverton is about 100 miles South East of Pagosa Springs. Why would you go South East from Pagosa when you’re heading North? Salida is a town near the CDT and it is about 150 miles North East of Pagosa Springs. Plus, if you’re going to Silverton from Pagosa you definitely don’t want to go over Wolf Creek Pass! That is totally the wrong direction. Lol! I think she meant Salida - not Silverton.
@Mtnsunshine3 жыл бұрын
@@bocomocla No, she meant Silverton. What I have seen all the other CDT hikers do, is once they hit Hwy 160 on the red line, they hitch south to Pagosa Springs, enjoy the town, then hitch back up 160 to meet up with the trail and proceed to Silverton. I think this is why it seems she’s heading south, when she really is not. Ah, the magic of wheeled transportation to cover ground quickly. 😁
@bocomocla3 жыл бұрын
Ok. I stand corrected. That’s why I let my husband navigate!!!!
@JeniferJourneys3 жыл бұрын
It's true I did mean Silverton. The CDT does a big loop west and swings near there. One could skip Silverton on the CDT, but ultimately we decided to go there. Salida is coming up though!
