Whitney was the sweetest. I was Cece’s assistant and she was there coloring in the coloring book with the kids and yes Ashley was newly born . They had a concert that day and Whitney ask me to press her dress and I didn’t know it was silk and guess what happened! I scorched it a little and I was 😭 😔 and slowly returned the dress back to her, but I explained to her and told her how sorry I was, she laughed and hugged me while I was crying and assured me it was okay! And guess what she still wore it on stage! She was such a wonderful person and her love was genuine.

This is why I loved and will always love this woman. She was so kind that the hate she gets is so unfair. I did not even know or meet her, but everytime I saw her on the television I automatically became happy because she was so free spirited

She is the best. I remember one time media trying to twist things claiming Cece said Whitney's Every Woman song is demonic but now we can see here that the media portrayed the wrong context, she never meant it in that way

I've waited for years to watch and see Whitney being honored for "real" and Miss Cece was the only one that could've done it. Those who were real fans knew the bond that they had. Genuine, down-to-earth and it gave Whitney the peace she wanted. Loved this special episode❤❤❤❤❤

I love how Ms. Winans (THE Gospel Queen) is very particular about the projects she chooses to be involved in about Ms. Houston. A true friend who loves at all times. Ms. Winans has shown unbelievable character, strength, and world-class, one-of-a-kind talent for 4 decades. She has rarely spoken out about her best friend (even though she's been asked to on numerous occasions) which led her to do a beautiful project like this. Ms. Houston and Ms. Winans are national treasures. We must honour Ms. Winans for the treasure she is while she is still here with us.

In my opinion cece sounds a lot like Whitney. I first heard them sing together in count on me. And even after 25 years, I’m still in awe of that bond btw them reverberating from that song. I just love their friendship and most importantly how consistent Cece has held it together after Whitney’s passing.

Cece and Whitney were the celebrities whose beauty I admired and wanted to imitate growing up. Though Whitney had her struggles she always proclaimed her faith. She is still my favorite singer/entertainer of all time. Love & prayers for Ms. Cissy. I always think of her when I remember Whitney.

I’ve watched Whitney since I was a little girl, I looked forward to the award shows to come on because I knew aunt Whitney was going to make her grand entrance with such a humble spirit!🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️The day she passed away I was at the mall & the alert came across my phone 😔😥I screamed and cried!! This is so awesome. Finally speaking to the kindness and and beauty of Whitney. Im so tired of these horrible documentaries that are being made about Whitney and her struggles we all have them but that's not who we are at our core. Thank you for this amazing insight and expression of love for your dear friend and a talent that was truly a gift.

I love how CeCe didn't feel she had to show boat their friendship in her death. The way she speaks about her, you can tell how down to earth they were. RIP Whitney. This was a great way to remember such a legend in our lives.

Best performance of BeBe, CeCe and Whitney was at the Arsenio Hall show! Plus the backround singing Whitney did while chewing a gum! Best duet with Cece was the live version of the song Bridge over troubled water. Excellent!!!

Cece, as a teenager in Nigeria I bought all your original cds with my hard earned savings! Your music has blessed me and now, as a mum, I am introducing my children to your music cos I trust that your music will take them to God. After listening to this interview, I fell in love with Whitney again. I have decided to be excellent in everything I do going forward especially in my career. She must have given her all to her music, it was so excellent! Thanks for starting this show, Generations, it is so beautiful to meet your mum and daughter. God's blessings transcends generations. I have always loved both Whitney and CeCe. Their performance of Bridge Over Troubled Waters is 💯. And don’t get me started on Whitney’s rendition of the national anthem ♥️♥️♥️. But, there’s a video of Whitney during a concert for our troops where a sailor is giving her flowers and she takes a quick moment (musicians and background singers holding it down) to accept the flowers, give him a hug (the best she could from on stage), and told him something. It’s the sweetest thing ever, and brings me happiness just thinking about it. That moment is how I picture Whitney and her legacy.... plain and simple kindness.

Whitney was the Bomb, her voice, was nothing short of amazing. What tripped me out is that, on All the Man Live, was the bomb. Where she wore that RED DRESS, with the sailor's. All I could see was men's teeth smiling. Her and Kirk Whalum, was the bomb. When she went back to get some water. When she walked back there, it's , the way she walked, was like, I know I'm the Bomb, without bragging. Cissy was laughing looking at people, like that's my child. Like Gary said her voice was so confident. I truly loved her, and watch so much of her now, more than I did when she was alive. She also was a sweet, nice, person.

Everybody needs a true friend in their life! Who loves you unconditional. You can relax around. Let your hair down! Their door is always open. Cece brother Bebe would always crack jokes on Whitney and Cece. That was precious to witness! You knew they were close friends. God knows we need true friends down here. Never take true friends for granted! I know I don't. I never knew this Tribute existed. This is so nice!

I just wanted to add that around the 38 minutes of this discussion, they were saying that Whitney grew up around Aretha, Dionne, her Mum Cissy, Chaka, etc. She did learn from the best but they forgot to say she became "THE BEST SiNGER OF ALL TiME PERiOD". Cece’s stories felt genuine and sincere and all her emotions came together when she expressed those words: that is my girl. With the tears in her eyes. Ashley’s questions were poignant. My mother taught me to shut up when nothing good is there to say so I’ll heed that advice concerning her guests.

Well I’ll say it; You know that Uncomfortable feeling when you’re talking to a person that you know (that you know-that you know) is lying to you, but you just can’t put your finger on what the lie is? That is the feeling that I feel every time Pat and her family speaks, on any platform. I hate feeling this way, but they don’t seem trustworthy. I’m here for Ashley asking all of the “cut through the foolishness” realistic questions, and looking at them eyeball to eyeball each time she does. It’s like Barbara W and Oprah’s style. Mrs Cece and her husband raised Ashley well.
