Sun Visors are manufactured in different designs for different car trademarks. The ones in the video belong to a Honda Civic. Not long ago they were reupholstered with headliner material.
By the way it is not advisable to do it in this materialbecause this item is in constant touch during the day time. The OEM sun visors have mirrors on both sides, but unfortunately the former car upholsterer lost them.
Our new customer requested us to do it without them.We have used beige automotive vinyl to do the wrapping. The sun visors were placed, marked, and cut along the stretch side of vinyl material.
At first we thought to do it in one piece folding over the vinyl from the center upwards leaving a seam allowance to be glued down to the inside edges. But, this design is somehow complicated.
It was necessary to cut two pieces for the two sides.You will find several tips in the video. One of them is the gluing down process of the edges to plastic pieces. We can see three kinds of edges: straight, convex and concave.
The first important key is to glue/secure all around the edges before folding over to the reverse side of sun visors plastics.
