This is a masterful interpretation of a bilingual song that carried incredible meaning when it was first written and released by the Clash. The accordion and Spanish guitar give it the cultural nuance Joe Strummer intended when he wrote it. I don't know Ceci personally, but her rendition is a true homage.

I have to disagree with you on that, as The Clash here intentionally uses pidgin Spanish. In fact Strummer, who had lived in Mexico for two years during childhood, at one point stated that they refrained from using standard Spanish in this song.

This is a travesty, a shocking and naive interpretation that fails to understand or interpret the nuances and basics of the original. The singer seems she would rather not be there or that she is desperate for the toilet. Am sure she is good at what she does but should steer clear of stepping into the unknown. Truly shockingly awful.
