Recently I had the chance to stay at Cedar Point's Castaway Bay water park and hotel, located in Sandusky Ohio. In this video I'll give you a tour of both the hotel and the indoor water park.
Castaway Bay is only 2 miles from the Cedar Point amusement park, and is an official Cedar Fair hotel property. It was closed down during 2021 and recently remodeled for the 2022 season. It was a pretty nice hotel and the water park was quite good. Water park tickets are included in the hotel price but you do have to buy a package deal to also get Cedar Point theme park tickets. We stayed during Cedar Point's Halloweekends 2022.
I had stayed at Castaway Bay a few times but it had been several years and the hotel looked quite different from what I remembered. The water park however did not appear to have been remodeled.

This hotel is definitely geared for 'the whole family'. But the wife and I went alone and really enjoyed ourselves! 😁

There is still plenty of fun to be had here as an adult, lol. I'm pretty sure I would have fun if it were just my wife and I as well :)

I didn't have a chance to check it out this year. I might go in a couple of weekends if the weather is still warm. If not I'll be going again next year for sure, I love Volcano Bay.

If you go to castaway bay and you go on one of the three water slide the purple goes the fastest the yellow goes goes kinda fast and the green one goes the slowest

Cedar Point does have an actual outdoor water park on property as well. This one is fun little hotel water park but it is still nice.

Is the waterpark open year round or just seasonally? Would be great to go there during the colder seasons and do runs on the water coaster and chill in the heated pool

That is a good question. I think they might be open on the weekends but I'm not 100% on that
