Diana Dmitrievna Ankudinova (Russian: Диана Дмитриевна Анкудинова, born May 31, 2003)[1] is a Russian singer. Much of her initial fame resulted from her winning two consecutive seasons of You Are Super!, a talent competition show for disadvantaged children on the Russian NTV network. Diana Ankudinova's performances were posted on the NTV web site and the NTV KZfaq channel, where they soon gained hundreds of millions of views around the world. Diana Ankudinova sings mostly in Russian, English and French. She has also sung in Spanish, German, Ukrainian and Arabic.

At age 3, she was the first of 12 children to live from childbirth. Her mother was a severe alcoholic and was not married. She abused and neglected Diana and after a failed drowning attempt which she suffered a broken collar bone threw her out in the street like an unwanted kitten. Relatives came by and saw her outside crying and because the way her eyes looked and she could not talk they thought her to be mentally retarted and took her to an orphanage where her adopted mother worked. A year or so later when a friend was visiting they heard Diana singing to cartoons and it was then she suggested that she be given singing lessons to help her learn to speak. The rest is history with her winning 40-50 national and international competitions before auditioning for the first show The Voice Children’s addition which she sang “Yodel Time”, great performance but dissatisfied with what the judges did not do. Being you have the back ground that you have you will definitely want to see her greatest performance at age 14 when she performed Rechenka on this show, it is in Russian so you will want to get the lyrics to better understand the message of the song, about 16 million views. Thanks for your reaction of Diana🙏🏼. The song Human is also one she sings in a lower tone. She is a rare contralto much like Cher but even better, polyphonic voice technique.

Hi from Texas, Cedric! Yes, that is 100% her real voice. Yes, she is polyphonic. Yes, she was already world class at 14. She is 18 now and even stronger, especially her upper register. Her vocal tone and technique are out of this world! With Diana, you don't just get singing, you get musical theater. Yes, she does all her own interpretations and arrangements. She has the nickname "Queen of Goosebumps", so the rest of us know how you feel. She is a powerhouse force of nature! Yes, she totally becomes what she sings and draws you into her world. Diana shakes my soul!

Diana is a force of nature. I think she was 14 here. This is a talent show for underpriviliged children. Diana was taken from her abusive mother and taken to an orphanage as a small child. The local physiotherapist decided to adopt her. At the time she did not speak, so her adoptive mother sent her to a vocal coach who discovered her talent. You saw Igor Krutoy, famous composer who works with Dimash a lot, as a juror. He gave Diana an apartment in Moscow so she could study music there. Next: Rechenka ( = riverlet), please.

Diana is theater trained as well as vocals, she's been on stage since she was 5. She's won singing competitions all over Russia including gold at the Delphi games(Russian Olympics for artists), Audience appreciation at the New Wave Festival(only individual award given I believe) She's won in China, all tolled she has over 50 awards and trophies. She's not limited to any genre or style. When she does a cover it's unique and generally better than the originals. She's incomparable and IMO the most talented young artist today. Rechenka is a masterpiece, recommend that next, she was 14 at the time. Welcome to the ride, buckle up.

Cedric, the girl, whose performance you have just watched, has many nicknames. Some call her power of nature, others queen of goosebumps, others eighth wonder of the world, others - voice of Mother Earth. Diana is a fantastically talented singer, a one of a kind chocolate mesmerising contralto. If you plan to explore her further, welcome to Diana's world. Namely. She does not sing, she creates worlds on the stage. Like many of the viewers said here try Rechenka of the same NTV show, dated 2018. When she was only 14. By the way, watch all her performances of the two consecutive years 2018, and 2019, where she won and received the Grand Prix respectively. You won't be disappointed: apart from Diana, stagewise the quality is high class. The show is called You Are Super, and it was designed for kids without parental care. Diana was abused and abandoned by her biological mother and, at the age of 4 adopted by her present family. Diana had a speech problem and was sent by her mother to a vocal teacher. They said voice exercises would help to improve speech.since then Diana has won more than 50 kids voice competitions. Now she is 18 and started her professional career as a singer. Best. ))

Diana was born in the Russian far east. Quoting another: Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human. First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She won the genetics lottery, and it's been called the Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.

Greetings from Scotland! An impossibility to accurately describe Diana's vocal abilities because she is absolutely unique in the world! I have listened to hundreds of her performances from 5yo to present at 18yo and she continues to confound me! She has a polyphonic natural dramatic contralto voice that she knows how to use perfectly! WELL beyond her years in vocal ability! Great reaction sir! --------------------------- Привет из Шотландии! Great reaction. Diana is great here. But no one ever talks about the great work of the cameramen, stage directors (scenery, light, wind), sound engineers, decorators, costumers, stylists and many other people who worked in this TV show. You, as a director, actor and screenwriter, probably realized how difficult it was to do all this. All of Diana's performances on this TV show became recognizable on KZfaq not only thanks to her vocal abilities, but also to ordinary stage workers. I advise you to review them all. I'm sure you'll enjoy it immensely.

This competition is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children. The musical project “You are super! can give to children who do not have a prosperous childhood, not only positive emotions, but also hope for changes in their fates. Eighty children from various countries can now take part, understanding that they have outstanding talents. Only the best of the best will be able to complete all the selections. Diana entered the competition in 2018 and 2019 and won twice. 2018 (3rd season) Diana sang 'Derniere danse' (French), 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' (Engl.), 'The River' (Russ.), 'Tomorrow Is A Lie' (Engl.) and 2019 (super season) Diana won the Grand Prix with 'Blizzard' (Russ.), 'Wicked Game' (Engl.) and 'Human' (Engl.). Thanks for your professional review and comments for Diana. I'll reiterate what others have said, Rechenka (Russian Folk) is a must for you. Amazing vocales, brilliant acting and a full production which is a world class performance by 14 year old Diana. She is very talented, sings, acts, dances, theater, paints, draws, plays piano and ukulele. A true Dramatic Contralto with polyphonic overtones/harmonies. She is 18 years old, she knows a lot about vocals, but how many discoveries in her talent await us all in the future! The voice will grow with her. Diana continues to learn and improve. Diana has a "black belt" in vocals! This is our Russian treasure - a musical diamond! At the vocal contest of the Russian NTV channel for children with a difficult fate “You are super!” Diana won at age 14. She sang a fragment of this song there. Two years later, the channel announced the super season of the competition. Diana participated in it for the second time and won the Grand Prix. Wondered if you’d find Diana too! I found Diana through the Dimash connection of Igor Krutoy (the final judge to turn… he has sponsored Diana). The program is a Russian competition for underprivileged kids. Diana was abused by her birth mother and has since been adopted by a loving family. The childhood trauma had led to speech difficulties which were fought by sending her for vocal lessons at a really early age. Whereas I find light in Dimash’s vocals, Diana’s tone is expressively dark. She does a beautiful version of Rechenka and you would probably love the staging for that song as well. I’m always a Dear, but I love talent, so I’m always open to discovering new talent. Take care!

Diana is a True Really Rare Contralto which is the lowest female voice , She sings Russian , French , English , Spanish and Arabic , Avoid HTB , most of the song on her Utube channel are OK to download , you probably won't get blocked , she was born May 31st 2003 .

Yay! You finally discovered Diana! It's been a treat watching you discover the voices that I've also discovered, to see your joy and amazement, living all of that vicariously again thru you! She did an incredible yodel at the age of about 13, called "Yodel Time." Here is a link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rLGUqcSI2MqdYYU.html You can sort of make your voice do that if you lower your larynx. Try talking a normal voice, or holding a note, then lower the larynx without changing the note. It will sound lower without actually being lower. Cher's voice is somewhat like this, as well, but not as pronounced as Diana's. Please listen to Diana's "Human,".....that is incredibly low and truly amazing.

Diana is a fantastic singer. But she has theatrical experience, Diana dreams of playing a role in a movie, now she is studying at the Faculty of Variety Artist at a theater university. Also Diana is now recording a full-length album, releasing new sigles. On June 11, another masterpiece was released - I Call Your Russia. I also highly recommend to rate the song Rechenka.

Great to see such sincere reaction! I got satisfaction and lots of positive energy from watching! You got a professional eye and ear and I agree with your opinions. Nodding all the time here:) Diana is such a talent! Imagine that she was stuttering as a child due to her abusive biological mother, then adoptive mom put her into singing classes so that she can get "her voice out" as a part of the therapy. And so we got this GEM! Inspirational both voice and her story.

She is as good of a stage performer as she is a vocalist.. If you watch her sing "Rechenka" at age 14.. you will see. And from a production standpoint its even better than Wicked Game. as for the copyright.. everything from HTB will be like that. I personally think from a viewer perspective that watching an uninterrupted reaction with a filter blur over the video is easier to watch that repeated Copyright pauses... and it must be easier for the creator.. and besides.. most of us watching Diana reactions have seen her a million times.. its the reaction we get a kick out of and yours was great...Thanks for checking out Diana. Вам надо посмотреть и послушать песню "Реченька" ,тогда вам как режиссеру и актеру, будет интересно ,как Диана разыгрывает целый спектакль ,на основе этой старинной, русской обрядовой песне о сироте, которую выдают замуж и она обращается к реке с просьбой благословить ее, поскольку родителей у нее нет, эта история, песня трагическая очень эмоционально раскрыта Дианой, Вам наверняка это будет интересно! You have just listened to what may be a true contralto. “Diana Ankudinova, A Russian National Treasure”, I have been following her for awhile. She is another very interesting story that you will discover. Wait until you hear “Take On Me” or "Human" or "Rechenka" Even though it is in Russian you still feel the emotion behind it. I've heard her sing in Russian, English, French, German, Arabic and Spanish so far. No matter what language it is beautiful. My friend you have stepped into a circle of fans. You have covered Dimash from Kazakhstan and now Diana from Russia. Next you will be discovering Angelina Jordan from Norway. She auditioned for and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 7. She more recently was on America's Got Talent The Champions and auditioned with her own beautiful version of "Bohemian Rhapsody". WARNING: This girl is addictive and you will get HOOKED! Also you must be prepared for a lot of subscribers. Finally you will be lead to Daneliya Tulishova, a young pop singer from Kazakhstan the same as Dimash. Have fun with them, we certainly do.

Diana was 14yo when she has performed this song on a Russian show "You're Supper", and she's had a very little training if any at this point. The show is unique: for the disadvantaged kids with a very challenging lives to say the least: those without parents either adopted or still living in orphanages, abused in the past etc. The show and established fund supports them in many ways, including bursaries until they reach the age of 18. Diana is one of those kids whose beginning of life was as dramatic as it can be. She is 18 now, and needs to deservedly get out into the world scene loud and wide.

Thanks for the reaction of Diana Ankudinova "Wicked Game". I watch a lot of reactions, but this was the first time seeing one of yours. I appreciated your comments and will watch more. As others stated below, I found "Human" to be very entertaining in it's tribal atmosphere. I'd also like to invite you to explore my favorite singer, Angelina Jordan. She had a day and a half to learn and arrange the song. She said she couldn't connect with the subject so she repurposed it as a lament between mankind and nature. She's gatecrashed my hall of fame.

More Diana: "Rechenka" in Russian. "Derniere Danse" in French. "Human" in English. "Havana" is a fun little diddy in English. "Take Me On" is in English. Maybe check out her yodeling video when she was just a kid. I think it's called "Jodel Time."

Every performance of Diana's on this show, over two seasons, is worth seeing however you, especialy, _must_ watch 'Rechenka'. The staging is magical and Diana's performance world class. I have watched any number of reactions to these performances of Diana but you were able to add a different angle and say something new. Your comments on the staging of this video were interesting to hear. The production values of this NTV show, the musical arrangements, lighting choreography, wardrobe, are really top notch. These professional skills are offered liberally to each young contestent. Diana grabbed her opportunity with both hands and the results were stellar. (Don't get upset by the copyright problems, you got round them fine. It is a shame NTV do it, but there you are) Edited some mis-spelling.

I think in Russian "Diana" is pronounced closer to how we pronounce the name "Deonna" in the US. And yes, you've just watched something magical, all right. I'm pretty convinced she and Dimash are so otherworldly because they are secretly high level music mages. That bardic magic, y'know.... 😉 Seriously, I'm glad you managed to get this reaction through all of those blocks.

Just say 'Di' (ana) like you say 'Di'(mash). And the first a in 'ana' is so pronounced like you will say 'AHA' the name of the band frome the 80's 😊

Cedric, I really liked your reaction / comments. The polyphonic manner of singing is something that is very interesting to discuss and understand (although this is only a part of Diana's gifts). Demis Roussos was the first to come to my mind in this regard, but as you said, Imogen Heap is another very apt demonstration. I hope you continue to explore this field of unexpected emotional surprises.

I wonder if the voice teaches of people like Diana and Dimash are letting them find the beginning and end of their voices and training for all of it instead of voice teachers finding the middle ground and making them focus on just that part. Could explain why a lot of the singers from the west are more monotone. Great reaction again mate.
