The fan your cousin got is actually a beverly hills/LA fan company california surfer ceiling fan which was sold at sears (or builders square in the case of the LA fan co.) It looks just like the carousel except it is painted with special paint that is designed to glow when illuminated by a blacklight. The brackets are also different. The california surfer has moon shaped brackets and the carousel has "C" shaped brackets

These are only the blades to a California surfer. The fan my cousin has is a Carousel. I got the blades from him when he got actual Carousel blades.

Carousel ceiling fan is a Hampton Bay you like that cuz it has metal Hampton Bay ceiling fan pull chains or plastic ceiling fan change that that is the same shape as the metal Hampton Bay pool chains

At some point blades got all miss matched. I do know that they glow under a blacklight. I have a blacklight that I shine on it sometimes.
