The fans, the history, the noise and the environment all culminate into an experience that is best described as an item on any American soccer supporters' bucket list. The latest episode of "The Hex" goes behind the scenes at the recent World Cup qualifier between the two CONCACAF rivals, hearing from fans of both teams as they celebrated -- and suffered -- through each dramatic moment of the 1-1 draw.
"The Hex" follows MLS players and fans through the final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. MLS players will represent all six nations in the Hex: Mexico, United States, Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica and Trinidad & Tobago.

There had to be at *least* 1,500 traveling U.S. supporters at this game. There were enough of them that they could be heard over the TV broadcast, particularly when Bradley scored that goal.

From a Mexican perspective, defeating U.S.M.N.T doesn't mean much, we've done so 25 times. We care about defeating big teams such as Argentina, Brazil, France, Holland, or Italy. It is when we win against big teams that we really celebrate and enjoy.

Unfortunately for you, the highest that you can aim for is defeating Mexico. Tell me when was the last time that U.S.M.N.T defeat a world power team in an OFFICIAL match?? Mexico for example, has defeated Brazil in 6 championship finals. 1975 Panamerican Games. 1996 Gold Cup. 1999 Confederations Cup. 2003 Gold Cup. 2005 U-17 World Cup. 2012 Olímpic Final. U.S.M.N.T has only beaten Brazil's B team, ONCE during a friendly match.

+Martincito defeated Portugal in 2002 defeated Colombia a tournament favorite In 1994 defeated England in 1930 defeated an undefeated Spain in the confederations cup. so don't run at me with that bull shit victories that got you nothing. Mexico will never win a world cup or a copa America. the world laughs at Mexico. win a real tournament before you talk like Mexico are all that. and no gold cup is not a real cup. we have 5 of those and it don't mean shit. nothing but scrap metal.

I'm mexican,but honestly, the soccer in the USA it's getting better each time,not for the players that came from Europe and South America,but the young american players, they are understanding the game and they're improving that sport in their country, in my personal opinion, it is a good thing for CONCACAF, also, it is making that our team need to play better. The MEX-USA it a spicy, explosive and nice game, none of the teams want to lose it!😅

That kind of self-congratulatory claptrap should not come out of the mouth of a supposedly respected sports journalist. We mean nothing, however that may hurt your delicate feelings. We have lots of work to do, and if we start congratulating ourselves when we barely started, we will never get there. And yes, I am 60, former immigrant, and I know something about hard work. I'm a Mexican fan, and the US played THEIR game, they held their own. Mexico didnt have the creativity to penetrate. The last corner kick at the 93rd minute sums up the stupid decisions El Tri made.
