They famously told us to ‘Reach For The Stars’ and ‘Don’t Stop Moving’, and now S Club are back to dance to that ‘Funky, Funky Beat’. As the pop sensations prepare for their 25th anniversary tour, the five-piece join us in the studio today to tell us about releasing their first new music in 20 years. We’ll also be hearing how their upcoming tour will be dedicated to the memory of their bandmate Paul, and how they feel about returning to the stage.

I wish. They can put Sclub back on Saturday mornings again. I hope Hannah finds the inner strength and receives healing from God to return to Sclub. I miss her smile, sense of humor, and friendly personality on the air. I like the special love you have for one another in the group. It looks and sounds so pleasant here.

The band felt awkward about being asked about Hannah, so the band gave a standard politician's answer which is to avoid the question and talk about something else.

Jon was right though, anything from "an anonymous source" is always dodgy. Look at those American magazines about the UK Royal Family. If you believe their anonymous sources, then Princess Kate has been pregnant with twins for over three years now. They also announced that the Queen abdicated more times that I can even remember, and apparently Camilla is in rehab.

@@kts64 Hannah was back with them earlier this year, when all seven did the intereviews and preparation for the tour. I guess she is so devastated that she just cannot face touring without him.

Well in regards to Hannah, if there is any truth to what was in the papers, I’m willing to bet it has something to do with the fact that while the rest of the band were paying tribute to Paul on their own pages when he passed, she kept her mouth shut until the Sun payed her a ton of money to talk about him and it probably left a poor taste in their mouth. Can’t say it didn’t make me see her in a different light as well.

@@lorrie4661 Yea, I think I may have felt differently if she had made her own post at the time but I suppose then it wouldn’t have been an “exclusive”. I don’t doubt that she was genuinely as sad as the rest of the group when he died, considering they had dated for years and even got back together at one point for a bit but it certainly speaks to her character. And if I feel this way just as a fan of the group, I can picture Paul’s actual friends and family being livid with her, so I wouldn’t blame them for keeping her out of this one.

I disagree. I think it was more of a "I knew it!" response to a question they thought they might be asked. I didn't see anything "smirky" about it at all, it was just a response.

They were exploited so bad to the point of bankruptcy and being homeless, Hannah and Paul dated for 5 years and both struggled finically and understood what was happening. I don’t blame her at all for not showing up. Then need to tell the truth about what happened

5:33 his voice sounded like he was struggling not to cry. People either need to enjoy them and support them or just need to shut up and just not pay attention to them. Jon said that the only thing that was true coming from the host is the tour dates and nothing else.

She was close to Paul because not only did they date but they managed to stay friends after the relationship was over. she chose not to come back in order to have some time for herself to grieve the lost of her best friend and partner. But i dont know if there is bad blood between hannah and the rest.

they were a huge success in the 90s, for more than a decade, and they did occasional reunions shows as well. They were planning a big comeback tour later this year, for their 25th anniversary, and sadly, just after it was announced, one of the band members died.

@@MsGrandunionThey were only successful from 1999 - 2002 as that's when they released their music. The group dispersed and disappeared after that. Over the following years, they did occasional mini reunions at holiday camps with various members of the group taking part (never the full 7). Why you said a *decade* of success, l don't know!

“Never heard of them here in Australia” despite their three most famous songs being in the top 3 on Australian charts for weeks on end and going ARIA Platinum. 100% one of the biggest bands in Australia at the time… couldn’t go to the grocery store or turn on the radio without hearing them - not sure why you feel the need to lie? Or feel like cause you personally somehow haven’t heard of them (must’ve been living in a cave in Australia) that they don’t exist!

I doubt that is true. Don't forget that Hannah and Paul were an item for years, and his death will have hit her a hundred times harder than it hit the others. I'm thinking she is just not ready to be back out there yet. Grief can knock you sideways and it can be unpredictable. She is not going to be able to just bounce back, and just maybe the memories are so strong that she just cannot be with the others yet.
