Celebrating 3 Years of YouTube at Flying Fish! Full Review | Disney's Boardwalk Resort 2023

On July 7th 2020, we released our first KZfaq video. A painfully awkward tour of a Courtyard by Marriot in Hershey Pennsylvania. We've learned a lot and have grown exponentially as creators since then. To commemorate 3 years, we went to Flying Fish at Disney's Boardwalk Resort at the suggestion of our subscribers.
To be honest, we weren't sure how our channel would perform when we first started. Subsequently, we feel privileged to have this small supportive network of subscribers. We've met, worked with and grown with such an incredible cast of content creators and feel incredibly appreciative to have a tiny place in this community.
We celebrated at Flying Fish because we knew that our subscribers wouldn't steer us wrong. Not to spoil the video but the meal was incredible. We rate every dish, provide a tour of the restaurant and at the end go over our top 3 restaurants on Walt Disney World property.
Thank you to anyone whose liked, subscribed, commented, super-thanked or supported us in any way. The support both big and small is what helps keep us motivated to create and grow. We still have a lot to learn and the consistent work on ourselves is why we find KZfaq fulfilling.

**We apologize for some of the poor image quality in this video, as we were filming in a higher frame rate, and had technical difficulties with the lighting** We debated not releasing the footage, but it was an excellent meal and a celebration that we really wanted to share with our subscribers. We will be more cognizant of this in the future. Also for reference the total of this meal was $150.80 including a $35.40 20% passholder discount, without the discount it would have been $186.20.

Congrats on Three Years, guys! 😁 It's truly so much more impressive when you think about how many creators started when we all started, and how many have dropped out long before reaching this point. Y'all are truly dedicated to your content and it shows! 03:29 Nice thing about Disney is that grace period for reservations. Since they're so hard to book, they're usually pretty chill about late entries as long as you're within 15 minutes of your time - with the exception of TRON's virtual queue, of course lol I agree with Sam, too, that a reliable go-to for any seafood restaurant is the Surf-n-Turf steak! I think the New York Strip at Flying Fish may be a little too crispy for my liking on the exterior, but the interior looked just right. 9 is a big number for a steak, so I feel like its initial appearance on camera might just be leading me astray! The snapper sounded pretty good as well, even for a non-seafood-lover such as myself. Love it when a fish doesn't taste fishy. 😍 Dessert looked incredible! A perfect 10 is hard to come by 😱 Great video, guys, as always!

For every creator that has dropped off, another one has popped up lol Yes, very grateful they allow a grace period, but we never feel right assuming we can be late- ya never know how things are going to go and I HATE being late. I've heard the Tron queue is strict, but Guardians has been very lenient for us. I didn't imagine a seafood restaurant ever being in my top 3, but the steak was perfection- the outside coating/seasoning was very good and not too crispy. Jay's dish did look intriguing, even as a non seafood goer- I feel like potato wrapping helps most things. Thank you for your kind words and we are thankful our KZfaq journey allowed us to meet other creators and friends like you guys!!

Happy Anniversary and Congratulations!!! This is a huge accomplishment. I don't think people realize how much work being a KZfaqr is. It's all on you. Being able to create good content and gain subscribers continously is something to be very proud of. Thank you, that really means a lot. We do our best not to bring up that this is a lot of work because we honestly feel privilege to be able to experience all of these amazing places but it really is. There are times we've been burnt out a bit or had things happen in our personal lives that make keeping to the schedule a bit harder. Knowing that you find our content to be "quality" is incredibly rewarding because we can be critical of what we put out. Congratulations! Flying Fish is one of my absolute favorites. I love the restaurant proper but sitting at the bar is my preference. I don’t know how they do it but the bartenders work serious magic and create a bit of community at the bar, if you’re up for it (they also take the cue if you’d rather keep to yourself -and that’s fine). As for future suggestions, these would be a splurge/special occasion but maybe Bull & Bear at Waldorf or Capa at Four Seasons?

We've been talking about going back and that sounds like a perfect casual option. We actually went to Bull & Bear on Valentine's Day for our honeymoon 😃 This was before we vlogged. One of our favorite restaurants of all time. Capa just made our list now! We really appreciate the suggestions.

I have never eaten at Flying Fish before! The seashore sweet drink as an 8, that's a great score for a drink! Love the fish forks haha! The appetizers look so good, that pork belly looks amazing and a 9, now I really want it! Your entrees look amazing too, more 9's, wow that's awesome! Wow, and a 10 and a 9 for the desserts! I reallllly need to go here next time. Your review has me completely sold! Awesome video as always you guys and happy 3 years on KZfaq!!

Hey congratulations to my favorite foodie couple on 3 years! Really love you guys for your charming, engaging energy and food passion Thrilled you're finally at one of my 5 favorite wdw restaurants I've had 4 remarkable dinners there - just think their food (and service) are impeccable and tinged with fantasy I adore that pork belly - also adore the deconstructed shrimp cocktail The steak and potato wrapped snapper are both unforgettable And yeah - that chocolate thing is bliss on a plate The one place I most look forward to getting back to asap Happy summer!

3 years congrats ! Love all your reviews. I remember the last time we went to flying fish. I did not feel like fish that night so I got a steak. Ordered it medium. The chef actually came out to the table and said "I don't serve it that way" I said so ? That's the way I ordered it, please cook it that way. He went onto lecture me that any steak cooked past med rare is not to be served. The manager came over by that point as the chef had a real attitude. We are professional people with 30 years of eating at nice restaurants. We got our apps and drinks comped and we left and never went back. The manager could not have been nicer and was embarrassed by the chefs actions. God forbid, you don't want to ruffle the feathers of some prima donna wanna be world chef...He probably works at Wendy's now...

This meal looked amazing! We ate at Flying Fish a few years back but there are some signature dishes back on the menu that look soooo good. You’ve actually thrown a spanner in the works of our last night meal - we have Yachtsman Steakhouse booked for our final night but I’m wondering whether to book Flying Fish now!

Oh man, that's a tough choice! Yachtsman is rated Walt Disney World's best restaurant by TripAdvisor but, based on our experiences, we prefer Flying Fish. I don't think you can go wrong with either though 😃. What we had here was definitely phenomenal.

It wasn't on ours either! We had a lot of subscribers comment about Flying Fish in our other videos which is why we went. Incredible! The Disney Pizza, oh man 😆, I think right now it's Via Napoli(restaurant) with Blaze at 2. Not saying they are the best pizzas, they just don't have much competition. We still have more Disney pizza to try!! Thank you 😃.

I had the potato wrapped snapper on our honeymoon over 10 years ago, and I maintain it is still the best meal I ever had. Missed out on it on our last visit due to the Fish being closed for rennovations (op3ned the dya we left 😢), so it's #1 on my list of places to eat when we go next summer.

The lobster bisque or orange color threw me off. I was expecting it to be white. WOW best of all time!! was it creamy? I guess it kind of reminds me of a squash soup which is usually creamy. I absolutely love lobster bisque as well. I love the sherry they cook it in & especially when there are big chunks of lobster!! 🦞

It would be nice if you would share your bill with us to know how much you actually paid. I mean we could add it up by stopping your video and looking at the prices, but other food bloggers I watch, always share their bill total just to get an accurate idea of what it cost to eat there.

That was me(Jay), Sam I think went 4? I stand by it being fun personal pizza for a theme park. You can't compare to a New Park Pizza in Queens, that'd be a 10. Either way taste is subjective and hope you wont hold my love of food against me 😆.

Thank you for understanding! Sam always says that I'm too nice because I just like eating 😆. Takumi-Tei and Monnsiuer Paul are high on our list in Epcot. What holds us back is the price. We're saving those for a special occasion to help justify the cost. We'll definitely see if we can slip it in though because we've been really hoping to get there. California Grill is my favorite. No embarrassment necessary! Still so many amazing spots we haven't eaten at too. If you can get Nassar as a waiter at Cali Grill you hit the jackpot. Honestly, Nassar being our waiter our last two visits is a big reason why they topped our list. Hope you can get in and that you have the best trip 😃. Thanks for the suggestion!

I really enjoyed my meal at the Flying Fish. The atmospher and the food is outstanding! One if my top 3 meals at Disney was Citrico’s! The smoked duck breast and the tilefish was unique and delicious. They are also well known for their guava braised short ribs. Would love to see your reviews from there.

Citricos is on our list! Thank you for the suggestion. I(Jay) went to Citricos before we started vlogging but Sam has never been. Definitely can attest to it being great. Will make sure we keep guava short rib and Tile Fish in mind when we eventually get there 😃. Thank you!
