Celebrating Sesame Street's 50th Birthday In Sesame Street Land! | Parade, Fun Facts & Merch!

In today's vlog we head to Seaworld Orlando to celebrate Sesame Street's 50th birthday! We also check out some Christmas goodness and take a look at the Ice Breaker roller coaster construction progress update. First we head into Sesame Street Land to see the monsters, the merch, the parade and to talk about some fun Sesame Street facts! Then we head out into the rest of the park to see some of the Christmas decorations that are out around the park and the Ice Breaker roller coaster construction progress. We can't wait to come back when the Christmas celebration officially starts on November 23rd. We also can't wait to see how the Ice Breaker coaster construction comes along, it opens next year and we're excited for sure! We hope you enjoyed this fun birthday celebration! I'm from the south-west of England, but when we were growing up, me and my sister watched so much Sesame Street that we started picking up American words and phrases (like "trash" instead of "rubbish" and "cookie" instead of "biscuit".) Clearly we were big fans!! :D

With the baby coming, y’all should look into taking a trip to Pennsylvania and visit Sesame Place! I went there all the time as a kid and have wonderful memories! An entire theme park dedicated to Sesame Street!

@PatrickClanton Yes I totally agree with you. The Trackers should definitely look into going to sesame place in Pennsylvania. I remember going there as a kid and it was super fun and a little bit emotional as well. I still have some photos of me when I was there. It was a great theme park to visit.

I’m almost 45 so I was definitely in a generation that grew up on Sesame Street. We only had a couple of TV channels so there weren’t any other options to watch than Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers so they pretty much define my childhood 👍

some great facts, Tim! Did not know about vampires and their need to count---who knew! Being a new Mom in 1985, it was a pleasure to show my son the wonders of "Sesame Street", "Fraggle Rock" and "The Muppet Show". And being a nursery school educator, "Sesame Street" was the harbinger of wonderful ways to teach our children!

I have always loved Sesame Street, has always been a favorite. Also was a fan of Mister Roger's. Oh gosh GullaGulla Island...Reading Rainbow of course. Oh and Wishbone! Those aren't ideas for theme parks but great shows for children. I wish there were more like that still.

I'm slightly older than Sesame Street but I did watch it when it first came out. 50 years later I still love..love..love the muppets. Several years ago at a book festival Kevin Clash (the original voice of Elmo) was the guest speaker. The program I went to see was for adults. I'm sitting in this auditorium full of adults. When Kevin pulled out Elmo there was all of a sudden a room of adults who turned into kids. When I met Kevin and Elmo, i got a kiss from Elmo. I squealed like a little girl. The smile stayed on my face for days.

My brother and I would watch sesame street almost everyday growing up! We loved the Count and would make it a competition to guess the number of the day! Absolutely love your videos! Unbelievable,Sesame Street is 50 years old. I remember watching the first episode. Back then Mister Rogers,Romper Room,Electric Company, Zoom,Hodge Podge Lodge,Captain Kangaroo, and if you lived in the Boston area RexTrailer's BoomTown and Major Mudd were the popular kids shows I watched.

I grew up with the original Mickey Mouse club and Captain Kangaroo. I watched Sesame Street because I babysat a lot of little ones in the seventies & when I lived in Germany for 2 years, I watched the German version of Sesame Street with my cousins. That chef with Cookie Monster helps him prepare healthy recipes. It's a cute segment which I believe started when HBO took over. Also, the toys that you said reminded you of Tsum Tsums are Squishmallows. They are marshmallow-like plushies that are easy to machine wash and tumble dry. My kids (11yrs and 9 yrs) love them. Btw, I watch Sesame Street by myself after my kids outgrew it 🤣
