We need to get together to stand against imminent domain. That is how Obama killed Bundy out west. It is wrong. Maybe it was necessary when our country was new. But we should not still be doing this at legislators will. Many in office are not in service to the people.

This just breaks my heart. So much knowledge is being lost and you can see how heartbroken Debbie is. Sending love from Memphis, TN. My Grandmother lost two lanes of her parking lot to the state when I was a child and she had a little convenience store. At least she was able to stay open but it's terrible that the States are still able to do this to small businesses instead of moving their dumb road over a few feet the other direction. Stay strong Miss Debbie, you look like you've weathered storms before and you're still a strong and pretty lady, God never closes a door that he doesn't open a window. Thanks for sharing this with us Mrs. Tipper!

There are times in our lives when something happens that brings back memories of loved ones who have passed. The closing of Bryson's brings tears to my eyes, as I fondly remember going with my dad almost forty years ago, to buy seeds and other needed items for our home when I was young. He would take the time to explain what things were used for and I loved getting to leave my brother at home and getting all of Dad's attention when we took trips to Bryson's. I'm sad to see that they are closing but I'll always cherish those long ago memories of my dad who passed in 2001.

Whenever I have faced disappointment or a loss, I have tried to stop and count my many blessings. There are so many good memories of family, friends made and colleagues you’ve served with. I am reminded that even in the hardest of times, God is good. He is trustworthy and His care for us who believe is everlasting. It is our faith that will bring us through the most difficult times we may face. Sure disappointment or a loss hurts. But it is our trust in God that brings us hope for tomorrow. It is often said that when one door closes, another will open. Maybe that is possible for the owners of this Farm Supply Store. We will be thinking of this family in the days ahead and praying for peace and comfort for them in the difficult days to come as they close this business. God bless and strengthen them. - Tennessee Smoky

This is just heartbreaking. I remember when we watched small good businesses go out because of new city development and to this day it still stings. To this day, I still mention how my favorite small store called Bobs that was there for such a long time turned into a dollar store. Broke my heart. These little places are such a gem. It would be very nice if the people who have been her customers through the years would sit down and write out their memories of the store and the family and employees and all the help that they received in so many ways. They could bring these when they come for the auction to give to her as keepsakes that she can enjoy in the future. That is what community is all about. She could consider it blessings from the past.
