Gardenia is my grandmother's signature note and yeah, it is very grandmotherly. I could never see myself wearing a heavy gardenia perfume, but I'm finding that I love it in home scents and on others. It just reminds me of her and it makes me feel so nostalgic and comfy. She's 91 but still gets up every morning and gets on her little rowing machine, makes turmeric eggs and broccoli for breakfast every day, feeds all the stray cats in the neighborhood, and takes care of her beautiful garden. She's INCREDIBLY smart, way too humble, keeps up with current events, she's warm and welcoming to absolutely everyone, and even though I live so far away and I'm not the best at staying in touch she always understands. I found a photo of her and my granddaddy from like 1934 when they got married and I always knew she was stunning but she literally looks like a movie star. It's killing me that I might have seen her for the last time this year. Anyway, sorry about the long rant but I had to talk about that amazing lady. I know gardenia isn't everyone's fave right now, but I might end up getting something with it when she passes just to smell like her.

Ellen Tracy’s Bronze is amazing. I got it for $10 and is is a sweet but light fragrance that smells very classy!

Oh my goodness! When you talked about the first fragrance, before revealing what the dupe was, I was sure you were going to say true reflection. I wore it this morning! I was really disappointed when I first tried it, but it was so much better when I tried it today, about a month after I got it. The patchouli was so smooth, just as you described it. The plum and the patchouli were really sweet and blended, pleasant. No sillage to speak of, but really enjoyable to apply.

Tocca Florence has another affordable dupe! Pacifica's Tahitian Gardenia! I definitely recommend the glass perfume and not the body and hair mist! (I own both perfumes and wear the Tocca on my wrists and neck and the Pacifica on my clothes and chest) The Pacifica is $22 for a 1fl oz bottle and can be found at Target and Ulta ☺️

Funny thing: the dollar store perfume dupe brand EAD makes a Lolita Lempicka dupe called Lovely Lady. And it actually smells ....good!!!! Read the reviews online. For $1.25 it is unbelievable. I laughed when l went and purchased it but l was humbled when l realized...l loved it😂

Florence is so strong to my nose I cannot wear it at all. I have it and feel bad if I give it away or sell because it was a gift.

For me fleur fatale smells like a better refined and fresher version of tea rose. And the kim kardashian eau de parfum classic smells like a fresher version of Do Son from Diptyque. 99% identic to it.
