When the opportunity came up to book another but this time on a different class of ship (Celebrity Silhouette) we couldn't pay fast enough...However were we right to book and rush back or was this cabin old, tired and outdated?
About us 👪
We are Justin, Tristan & Josh
We started cruising in 2019 with a Norwegian Fjords cruise on P&O Britannia, we fell in love with the ship and cruising and quickly booked a further cruise in the summer on MSC Bellissima. We now have completely caught the bug and have over 9 cruises in the next 12 months...
We love to travel and wanted to share our journeys with the world and they are our way of remembering the great times we’ve had a chance to share some of the tips and tricks we use when travelling as a family.

I stayed in a really similar cabin to this on Silhouette when she started her 'post COVID restart' cruises - I absolutely loved the storage in it. The 'over the bed' storage is such a rarity nowadays, but it helps to keep the cabin SO tidy, as there's so much room for everything - I'd be happy doing multiple weeks in a cabin with storage like this!

I think for one or two people would be ok… but for three we found it a little short… we also like drawers 😆

Really love how bright this cabin is! Love the colours they’ve used, and the above bed storage gives me anthem of the seas vibes and is super handy! Storage is key for us! For a ship that age, it’s a really nice cabin!

It did feel lovely and bright! I wonder why they stopped doing the overhead cupboards… it does date the ships now with them… not in a bad way just interesting

Thanks for another brilliant cabin tour guys - informative and entertaining as ever 🤩 This looks like a pretty good cabin to us (even with the relative lack of plug sockets) 😃 A fairly good amount of space and a really nice bathroom (the shower and glass fronted unit are really nice)! A good sized balcony too - having a balcony deep enough to lean back on your chair is something of a plus 😅

Not sure what everyone else thinks but I think this room looks really good for it's size. Not the biggest fan of the 90's brown theme, maybe because I love the modern color palette 😊 Balcony looked great especially with that sunny weather!

We aren’t biggest fans of the dark wood look either… think it was perhaps fashionable when the ship originally launched 😃

We were on silhouette at the same time & had the same frustration with the lack of power points! Definitely worth packing some usb or multiplug adapters!

We needed to use our multi adapter and US sockets don't seem to charge as well

@@CruiseBuoys and no power outlets along the bedside! Grrrrrr. I sailed on the Eclipse in 2011; looks like they haven't bothered to retrofit their older ships with USB outlets or bedside outlets. I will be cruising solo in a cabin with the same layout 8/4-8/12/24 to Scotland, UK and Iceland. Got a killer deal, paying less than half than it would cost per person double occupancy.

As always enjoyed the video. Question. Am I seeing correctly the end of the bed is curved? If so that's unique! I believe I am Tristan's height. Does the shape make it more comfortable? (Not losing sheets/blankets in the middle of the night etc..) Best to the 3 of you! Enjoy your cruise!

It is curved I believe Tristan had no issue with the bed ;)

Bad they that there are no outlets on either side of the bed, and I hate when they have a mounted TV you can’t see from the bed! If they refurbished it, you’d think they would have done something with that sad cupboard. And water only included with “premium”? Not really keen on sailing them.

Not really… it’s an older ship though so you have to expect some wear and tear

@@CruiseBuoys no buddy celebrity is cheap as chips. You can really get them at good deals only have 100 cruises under my belt.

Just returned from a trip on Silhouette. Same type of cabin and tv did swivel. Thought the lack of usb’s was strange though considering the ship has been refurbished

Do your homework and bring American and European plugs that have USB ports on them.

Oh… We do… and have adapters however we raise it so others know… We have also been on older ships that have them, so it’s a shame that a cruise line that has high end and cutting edge ships hasn’t upgraded its older fleet to match… 😊
