Adam seems like a genuinely nice guy. Loved him in Star Wars, wish the movies would have actually been ABOUT Kylo. I’d bet we would have liked the original story much better than what we got. However, Adam was the best part of those three films and I will always rewatch because of him.

It was only last year the my brother and I realized we were briefly in school with Adam. We had just moved to Indiana and attended the same middle school before he went on to Mishawaka High School and I went to Adam's in South Bend. One of those site posted a "Adam Driver school photo" and it hit me. "Hey I recognize everyone else on that page" We have a vague memory of it. We were the new kids so that year we didn't really interact with a bunch.

I went back to my hometown to go to school and it made sense for me to use the mass transit system so I got to know a lot of the drivers. I gained a lot of respect for what they do and have to deal with every day besides the deft handling of an unwieldy vehicle. Everyone I got to know knew every route in town and that’s a lot of remembering lol but seriously mad respect for bus drivers.

I turned 50 a couple months ago and I remember the wild West days of the Internet. 20 years ago there would invariably be a chat/commenter ranting about how their life was absolutely destroyed by Hollywood major, but relatively behind the scenes Elite. I remember laughing at them with disbelief. After 20 years of observation, I'm now convinced that I was the ignorant peasant eating up all of Hollywood's falsehoods like breakfast.... If you want to go down the rabbit hole, read a book called "Weird scenes inside the Canyon" Movies, the 60s-70s L.A. music scene were both quite linked to the CIA. Nobody removes problems with extreme prejudice like the CIA....

Adam basically confirms what I figured all along. Kylo Ren was meant to be the big bad of the trilogy. He starts out as conflicted as vulnerable and, by the end, becomes a full villain. But JJ changed his mind at the last minute because a bunch of the fans and Reylo people wanted Kylo to be redeemed. Terrible decision.

Nah, Ryan Johnson changed the direction with TLJ. He even said that in the interview. I think the backlash was so bad for that movie that they completely changed his arc in Rise.

It’s also an interview technique. Guests love hearing the sound of their own name. It helps the guest relax. (In the same vein, a host will ask a “quiet” guest a type of question that is more of a request: “Tell me about,” “Share with me,” “Help me understand your” …instead of “yes/no” type of question, or a “who/what/when/where/why/how” question.)

George Lucas is the one that needs to be blamed for everything that's happened to Star Wars! He said he would never sell out under any circumstance no matter what. And then goes and does the exact same thing he said he would never do, because I guess having probably a billion in the bank at that point wasn't enough. And then right before he walked out the door he gives Kathleen Kennedy the keys to run the ship. So be mad at Disney, Bob Iger and Kathleen Kennedy all you want and all for a good reason, they totally deserve the criticism for their incompetence for what they've done but at the end of the day we're on this path because of George Lucas!
