I met Ernie twice and he is such a super nice guy. He loves meeting and talking with his fans. Such an underrated actor. Of course he is a Ghostbuster but one of my favorite things he ever did was HBO's OZ.

Same. When I met him the first time I had him sign an 8X10 for OZ. Second time I met him he was in his Ghostbusters jumpsuit. Such a nice guy.

Ernie was so menacing in "Sugar Hill" with Wesley Snipes. Highly underrated film and performances. Don't forget him as Half-Dead in "Penitentiary II" (1982).

The part of Winston was actually written for Eddie Murphy. I can't remember why he didn't do it. I think he was doing 48hrs and just couldn't do it. As much as I would have loved seeing Eddie play Winston, so glad Ernie played him. I'm sure the movie would have still been good with 4 comedic actors, but having Ernie playing the straight guy to the other 3's craziness was one of the best things about the movie.

I had to google his date of birth. I thought he was a decade younger and I was like , "man he looks great for a guy in his mid 60s". And then I looked it up and my jaw hit the floor when I discovered he was 76!

Steven Speiberg wanted Eddie Murphy to play the Ernie Hudson Role since Eddie and Dan Akyroyd had so much chemistry in "Trading Places" . Eddie did " Beverly Hills Cop " instead , which was wise .🙄🤔🙉🙈😳😉👀💥🔥

Yes Winston was the only ghostbuster who wasn't a parasychologist but he was awesome. Without him, Ghostbusters wouldn't be any good.

To me this is one of the greatest actors of all time I don't personally know the guy but he really seems down to earth he's not Hollywood garbage like most of them out here nowadays
