Welcome to 'Celestial Echoes', my journey into the world of cinematic and hybrid orchestral music. This all started with a need for some heroic, epic music for a Web3 comic book project I’m working on.
I've always been a big fan of Hans Zimmer's work, but never really thought about learning to create something similar myself. Then one day, I needed that kind of sound for the project and others. Instead of looking elsewhere, I decided to dive in and try to produce it myself.
As I started experimenting in the studio, I felt a connection. It was like my past, playing the violin in the youth orchestra as a kid, was meeting my present, creating electronic music, and working on sound engineering. They got along pretty well! It was like discovering a new yet familiar language, an inspiring way to express myself that felt like coming home.
I've been learning a ton about this type of music, studying how to play every instrument and make them sound realistic, arrangement, mixing, and the art of blending in synthesizers to give it that “unreal” hybrid orchestral cinematic vibe. It's been a wild ride, and I've seriously loved every minute of it 🙂
In this video, you'll see a teaser for 'Celestial Echoes', featuring the beautiful singing of Konnet (known for her voice in The Hobbit). I've always loved how nature and cinematic music go hand in hand, so you'll see a bit of that in the video as a little snippet of the track.
