HFIL was a brilliant idea. I mean, we get the Catharsis of the villains suffering, but also a chance for unconventional interactions, things that really didn't get a chance to happen in the actual abridged series.

The wish that was made to bring back everyone was everyone who was killed by friezas and his men, they didn't say except the evil ones, or only the people on namek, so Nappa survived, and everyone who died was choking in space because the lack of oxygen because lack of planet

I like to think before Super, he was transferred to Heaven after someone snitched on him, and it's ironically worse than HFIL would ever be. Like, they actually forcefully convert souls, or torture them with imagery and other programming techniques until the soul breaks and forgets itself. Frieza's willpower is solely the reason he's still himself.

Coming from episode 7, and having watched these since they first came out, I am ecstatic every time one of these comes out. Not because it's more TFS content (that's a factor but still), not because it's an interesting plotline that I really want to see unfold (again, great reason, but not the biggest), no. It's because every time I hear Freeza's voice, I know Martin is back, and he's doing ok.

That shocked and impressed me. In any other parody with this premise, Frieza probably would’ve been delegated to the local punching bag. But here they made it to where even though he’s a clear second to Cell, he’s still intimidating for being honest to how awful he is.

I like how the amount of terrifying and disturbing shit that Cell has done is enough to make even SATAN unsettled. The only nitpick that I have is that it would've been cooler if, while Freeza was choking out Cell, Cell extended his own tail and started choking Freeza right back. It would've set up their rivalry even more strongly.

I mean, for the body count there, I think more of them would hate Vegeta The four Ginyus were all killed by Vegeta, even if 2 were technically knocked out by Goku. Zarbon and Dodoria were also killed by Vegeta, so that's 6 of the 10 souls in HIFL. Goku killed Freeza and, with Piccolo's help, Radditz. Lastly, Super Kami Guru was killed by his people. Cell might actually get along with Radditz, considering Radditz kidnapped Gohan as a toddler.

It's based on the "prison yard" thing. Find the biggest toughest guy, etc. Cell was still coming to terms with everything, so Freiza just didn't give him a chance to challenge the pecking order. Theoretically when Cell comes to terms with everything he still won't challenge Freiza because of that initial confontation.

Everyone has the same power level in HFIL due to the shackles, and it's all up to who wants to bully the others the most. In this case Frieza is at the top of the pecking order.
