Everyone: "too poor for air pods, but has a macbook" So what? She could have saved up so much money for the laptop (or got it as a gift) and I would argue that out of those two the laptop is better/more important. Normal earphone work practicaly the same as air pods, so it isn't really that much more worth it.

Yeah and I mean I'm very poor, but got macbook pro from school for 3 years, but after graduation I have to buy it or return it. That might be her situation too. Well I'm from India too but you can bring laptops and calculators to school and also phones if you are in middle school or high school but make sure that your phone's cellular data is off and put it on silent mode or maybe it's like you have to give your phones to someone and then you like take it after class

you can get a second hand macbook for pretty cheap. mine was like less than $300 and, for college, you need to have a laptop so it’s worth it
