Clear instructions .increases the students' talking time 2.be decisive about the instruction. 3.be direct to talk less and not put more difficult to students 4. Commentating is unnecessary 5.write your instructions to be clear. 6 proceed by instruction and grade your language 7. Assess and not ask them of they understand.

I loved your video! I am still learning how to give instructions, and it is so hard! Teachers that have bad habits from previous experiences and initiate the CELTA pathway suffer a lot to provide instructions clearly, and precise! I know!

Very informative. less negative examples and only instructions on what to do. Many of us are trying to save time by just getting the key points. Great video otherwise. Thanks for posting.

As a novice teacher, your videos are so helpful. Thank you! What would you say is the best way to ask ICQs? To the whole class or do I nominate a learner?
@elttraining
@elttraining 2 жыл бұрын
It depends a bit on the size of the class, but nominating means that you have a chance of ensuring that the weaker learners understand! You might find this video helpful kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oNVhicWg1cW3hJc.html

Dear Jo, I have a question regarding the celta grading system. I've asked our main course tutor once about the requirements, but she kind of gave a vague answer. It seems a lot of my colleagues from different countries have gotten the same kind of answer. but seriously we've never had any guideline for grading.. my question is if u forget one CCQ to check meaning, and the lesson is damn near perfect, would you still get an 'above average' Lesson plan? I know there is no perfect lesson plan, but seriously.. it's intriguing! lol
