🍀 What a week it's been for Celtic as Brendan Rodgers and the players clinched the title in style at Kilmarnock, before celebrating with 60,000 fans at Celtic Park on Saturday.
This week we take the opportunity to review the vital moments that have shaped our season as the Bhoys fought tooth and nail to remain undisputed Champions of Scotland for a third successive year.
Its been a rollercoaster campaign so far but as departing hero Joe Hart has reminded us, it's not over yet!
Celtic head to Hampden in sparkling form on Saturday where all eyes will be on ending the season on the highest of highs with the Scottish Cup now firmly in our sights.

We know why O'Riley wasn't made player of the season. The same reason that BR wasn't even nominated for manager of the season, when Clement was. The club he plays for.

Nothing to do with that as we have won them regularly. The votes are held 7 to 8 weeks before the end of the season and he had had an average period just before that. He then had a purple patch after the vote when Hatate, etc. came back into the team. Our own fans and pundits were questioning his performance after the transfer window closed. They vote at the same time each year so the winners will attend. 3 months ago there were lots of fans on podcasts and radio shows calling for Brendan to go or saying he should go if we lose the league.

@@cb745 Spot on .. some of our fans are the mirror-image of them across the city with their constant conspiracy theories, sadly. I know I may be in a minority but I've never been a huge fan of O'Riley in the same way as I've never really understood all the hype about Hatate. Both players have their moments but they have glaring deficiencies as well. If we are offered anything like £25m for O'Riley I'd snap hands off twice over!!

@@cb745 even with O'Rileys 1 month "dip", where he still contributed massively, he was still head and shoulders above the fat hearts guy that won it.

@@gezobel we are all entitled to our opinions but don't compare me to a hun mate. O'Riley, at his worse is leagues ahead of anyone in Scotland in my opinion. He should have won player of the year hands down. Positive light is rarely shown on the Scottish game and yet that's exactly what happened when Athletico came in for Mat. And yet, the award goes to an overweight player at hearts....Great for Scottish football, that.

When you look at the end to the season that O'Riley is having (in addition to how well he's played in general this season) then it seems mad that he doesn't get the award. Shankland too has had a good season though and no problem with that. Just the way these things go sometimes.

The votes were held 7 to 8 weeks ago because they want the players to be available on the night of the award. O'Reilly had an average patch in the lead up to this point and then hit his best form when McGregor and Hatate came back from injury in the run-in and after the votes were taken.
