All of the current and former members of Celtic Woman are lovely, and they all sing like angels, but there is something (beyond her harp and her alto range) special about Orla. This lady simply radiates class. Fortunately, she still records and tours, so we haven't lost her. Look up the "My Land" CD.

This made me cry. Makes me think of my hunting camp in the Catskill mountains of NY, where some of my most fond memories have been made with a group of the most precious older gentlemen I know. It's still my most favorite place on earth: a little shack with an old wood stove, and a table where we gather in the evenings and tell stories. The second half of this song really expresses my feelings.

Lyrics : I've met some folks who say that I'm a dreamer, And I've no doubt there's truth in what they say, But sure a body's bound to be a dreamer, When all the things he loves are far away. And precious things are dreams unto an exile. They take him o'er the land across the sea Especially when it happens he's an exile, From that dear lovely Isle of Inisfree. And when the moonlight peeps across the rooftops, Of this great city, wondrous though it be, I scarcely feel its wonder or its laughter... I'm once again back home in Inisfree. I wander o'er green hills through dreamy valleys, And find a peace no other land would know. I hear the birds make music fit for angels, And watch the rivers laughing as they flow. And then into a humble shack I wander My dear old home and tenderly behold, The folks I love around the turf fire, gathered. On bended knees, their rosary is told. But dreams don't last Though dreams are not forgotten And soon I'm back to stern reality. But though they pave the footways here with gold dust, I still would choose my Isle of Inisfree.

I can assure you that these artists feel true love for what they stand for. It's this what makes great songs. Not that mainstream rap companies force through the untrained ears of the youth. So if you're an artist, please aspire to something you love in you're music. That's only true secret to make great music.

My first exposure to Celtic Woman was channel surfing one day and coming across a beautiful woman singing while playing a harp on PBS. Orla was the first Celtic Woman I fell in love with because of this song. Though Orla won't travel the difficult -and long- show schedule anymore I hope she will rejoin the group for another video like the ones at Slane Castle or Powerscourt Gardens again. Come back Orla!!

what I love is that what you hear is her voice...just her voice...not electronic manipulation. I'd love to hear some of these "popular" singers today be able to stand on a stage and just sing like this. maybe, I'm preduiced but I doubt whether many of them could do it and hold the audience like this girl can.

I’m with you, Devin. Family history says I’m Scot/Irish. The folks at 23 & Me say I’m all that plus a bunch of other Northern European stock. And if my wife’s observations are accurate, I’ve got some Neanderthal in me, as well. So like most Americans, I’m a mutt. That said, this music is beautiful. It soothes that Neanderthal in me and plucks at my Celtic heart strings.
