10/26/2017, Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston, IL: The world premier of CEM (Portuguese for 100) by Chilean Composers/Guitarist Javier Contreras, winner of the 2017 LMF Composition Challenge "Year of Samba". Performed by guitarist Ana Vidovic and violinist David Lisker, playing here on a new Brazilian violin made by Luiz Amorim.
With 2017 marking the 100 year anniversary since the first recorded samba, Lisker Music Foundation set out to challenge composers to write a piece to commemorate this beloved genre.

Ein sehr schön Duo-Werke für Violin und Guitar. Eine Geige " made in Brasilen", die einen tiefen Seele hat überzeugt in alle Linien! Es muss nicht immer Stradivari sein! tolle Musik, beste Instrumente und beste Musiker! BRAVO

I loved the recital. Ana is my favorite classical guitarist. I would have really liked it if you would have posted her solo's as well.

Obviously an outstanding performance by both - being partial to the classical guitar, would have appreciated the balance brought up just a bit for the guitar part (i.e enough to hear its nuance a little better) - violin somewhat over powering

The piece grew on me as it went on. Although, there was a bit to much dissonance in it for my taste. I alway love Ana! She in incomparable and a true vertuosa.
