This is a lot more fancier than what i was used to making as a kid! The working conditions we had was horrendous with liquid gas smell all over the garage and dust taking over the place. My dad owned a factory and I use to make about 600 pieces a day (which is a lot harder than it a sound) - Maalam!!! Great video, nonetheless!

@@noda2488 the tiles harden & cure with age. They aren't submerged. The press forces the water present in the pigmented mixture into the dry mix in the back, creating a uniformed moisture content

It's a cement mortar mix with about 3% sand. depending on the mfg.

found the kingdom of Morocco, that time was Spain also under the rule of the Morocco , more than 1200 years ago used to decorate castles and bathrooms , what you see in this video is the commercial version of the thing which called Zellig, the original version is made by hand every little piece

These tiles are Spanish heritage . The only time Moore wrnt to spain was to assist the already existing kigdomes there not to create or rule. Stop stealing history that is not yours.

The old romans started making mosaic floors. But the cement tiles are from Italy and south of France after the invention of the cement in1850
