150 years ago, there was no cement to fix tiles! But we can see tiles installed 200 years ago and intact even today! Kindly see the podcast where it has been explained how cement works and why it fails to create bond with new age tiles which do NOT have any porosity to allow cement (hydration process) to create physical bond. It is a simple and known science. Even with adhesives tiling fails...reasons is bad workmanship. But even best workmanship can not change the nature of material. I am surprised to see your comment... dear sir, I am not here to sell you any tiles. Anyway, I am doing my job to give factual information. Thin-set Adhesive se tiling karne ke liye, neeche ki surface smooth aur desired slope ke sath taiyaar honi chahiye. Adhesive zyada use karne ke bhi disadvantage hain, other than unnecessary cost. Thank you for writing to us. - Team OTF

Diwar se zyada ye tile ki type, weight aur size par depend karega. Generally polymer modified cementitious tile adhesive lagaana chahiye but usmei bhi different quality hain. - Team OTF - Team OTF

No cement mixing please. Cementitious tile adhesive only needs water ....that too exactly as per the instruction given by the brand. It already has required qty of cement. Adding more will spoil it. --- Team OTF

Curing is not possible under the tile, that is also one of the reason why cement mortar is unsuitable. Tile Adjesive has got a water retention compound in it. This is what should be standard practice as the casted slab is generally not apt in terms of planarity, desired slope (if required) and free from irregularities. Self levelling screed can resolve it. Tiles should not be installed over freshly done screed / concrete surface; 4 week's time is often allowed to cure. We will cover tile installation tips and best practises soon. Thank you. -Team OTF

Two issues with most tiles are - 1. Quality can vary batch to batch. Even within the batch, sometimes variations come. All good companies try to remove such tiles from Prmium quality packing. 2. Dimensional tolerances defined by the Standards (ISO / BIS) are much lose than what customers expect, particularly those who don't buy and use tiles at short intervals. The company you mentioned is although not big like leaders in the Industry, but it is believed to make good products. Maintaining spacers also can greatly minimise your fear apart from technical recommendations given by experts across the Globe. - Team OTF

Jaisa Video mei bataya, vitrified tile ke Sath cement mortar bahut weak bond banata Hai. Mostly floor tile apne vazan ke Karan kamzor bond ke baavzood floor par Padi rahti hain. Lakin wo Dhang se nahi lagi hoti. Exterior mei jaldi hee ukhad sakti hain. So our answer is NO, if you ask scientifically. Baanki bahut se log apni apni Marzee se Karte hain tiling. - Team OTF

If you are taking polished DC or full body, theoretically chances are minimized. However, it depends on efforts of manufacturer to check each tile in a batch. Sirf ye keh Dene se ki DC ya FB trouble free Hota Hai, it's not an honest fact. Variation is usual and it depends on stringent control on last stage sorting / quality control. Thank you. - Team OTF
