these are not toilet paper rolls . They are cardboard rolls for sure but walls are way to thick to be toilet paper rolls

Cement (even when dried properly)will Kill fish in no time unless an appropriate sealer is used

Concrete is highly caustic and still reactive to water for at least a month after pouring and setting up. I know this is painted, but please allow proper cure time for concrete AND paint and make sure paint will hold up to under water conditions before putting fish in or they will die.

masonry material is porous and the cardboard in the tubes will as a result soak up water and this is a total FAIL.

Indeed concrete leaches Calcium carbonate and Calcium oxide, both will raise water pH to dangerous levels but only for a short time. However there are ways to counteract that with peatmoss, the acid in the peat will neutralize the bases in the concrete. Its an old trick for correcting hard aquarium water. Animals live in streams and lakes with limestone basements so not much neutralization should be needed.

I love all the stuff you guys make. If i can just give a small bit of advice (if your trying to sell them and make money ) would probably be not to paint the pieces three bright colors. You are using all elements of nature abs the earth tones are beautuful and blend into its surroundings, that's a really pretty part of the pieces you make. The bright paint takes away from your creative ideas. Thank you for sharing the creative ideas. I love the one when you made the fish in the large tubes under the glass four a table. That would be so great on the patio.

The cement should be treated before any fish put in as the cement will leach out and kill the fish .

Wunderbare Eigenkreation. Ich finde, diese Wasserpyramide ist sehr gut gelungen und sieht einfach toll aus und 10x besser, als irgendetwas gekauftes aus Keramik.🌷🌷🌷 Ein bunter Fisch muß sein oder andere Teile und die allesamt aus Glas. Wūnsche eine fantastische Woche.

What brand of toilet paper is that? I’ve never seen such thick rolls. We have paperthin rolls in the US.

I have save some loilet papers cardboard cause I have seen so many ideas of what you can do for it even the tin one. I am in the USA and some do have a hard one but I just do not remember what brand. Maybe the one with the hard one is more expensive...hehe! Even I have the thick one I will not use to make this. Looks like lots of work, messey etc. If I do I will just make it as a water falls with no fish because if these is no filters etc. after a while it will smell.

@@bbcn4545 I'm trying to remember what brand of TP offers the sturdiest cardboard roll, and it's just not coming to mind. I have four of them, which I'm going to use in a craft book-making project, but I don't remember the brand. IIRC, Lowes used to sell paper towels that came in a box, and I think those rolls were harder. On another note, I'd give my eye teeth for good ideas about reusing plastic Coffee Mate containers so that they don't look like Coffee Mate containers. Those things aren't going to decompose for the next 25,000 years.

Avec une petite truelle et quelques ustensiles de cuisine très simples du mélange à base de ciment ces gens ont des idées et une imagination extraordinaires. Avec rien ils font de très belles choses. À l'œil et sans pratiquement mesurer tout est assemblé
