The XB2 and XT2 uses the same spur gear with 3 pads as the XB4.

Malin Karlsen yeah I released that I was wrong when I got my xb2 just a couple weeks ago. How are you liking the xt2? I can't wait to get one!!

An open diff, or viscous coupler will transfer power to the wheels with LESS traction. Not to the wheels with MORE traction. This is a loss in motive force, and you're relying on the wheel(s) with less traction to gain wheel speed and "hope" that traction hits. This bring in inherent stability problems.
