Yes - the Marion Local centerfielder plays the safety position in football. He had an 80+ yard interception return for a td in the state final game last year. He's fast - in this clip he shows really good closing speed to go along with the smart angle of pursuit.

I’ve done something like this on a much smaller scale. Softball during the family picnic. Ball gets hit to left field. Runner from 2nd base(Cousin A) is now rounding 3rd going home. Me realizing Cousin B behind the plate couldn’t catch a cold, I hawked down the runner right before he crossed home. Definitely was the highlight of the day. Felt even better because Cousin A and I grew up competitors at EVERYTHING!💯
