That isn't enough. He put many lives in danger over his negligence. Many people with high blood pressure, diabetes, babies, pets, etc are at risk because they have no energy to keep them cool due to Centerpoint never preparing beforehand. The question is, why a category 1, half day hurricane would cause 2 million lose power? Does that mean we will repeat this or worse when more hurricane coming?

Something very fishy here to me too. Fishy as in an ex CIA guy mentioned five days before landfall That “they” … evil rat bastard elite… wanted it to be a Cat 5 200 Mph storm but they weren’t successful. Can you imagine what would’ve happened?! This was a manipulated storm for weather warfare (Maui) and why isnt everyone (Democrat, Republican and Independent) really, really sick of this? Time for these satanic people to go.

I live in Houston and have been without power since Monday at 5am. I think CenterPoint's biggest issue is infrastructure. They did a good job preparing but having 2.2 million people out of power is a monumental restoration effort. The infrastructure needs to be more resilient, so less work needs to be done to restore power to everyone when a hurricane comes in.

They got so many restored in 48 hours because the storm was weak. When I saw initial time estimates for restoration, I thought they were setting expectations low so they would look good if they got it all fixed more quickly. Lived in Houston 50 years. Nothing like this power outage before. Their website is down, their phone lines are down, and if you want an outage map go to Wataburger. So what is different? A new management team from California. That hurricane center on the west coast. Ther did bankrupt their last company PG&E. Mostly attributed to their incompetence. So why did we hire them to run a texas public utility? They do have lots of pages devoted to Sustainability,Diversity and Inclusion. You would have thought we learned our lesson with the Harris Co election guru. Patrick will eat them up at the PUC hearings. Meanwhile we swelter while they come up with how well they are doing with their California priorities
