Hi Therese! I’m going to apply to be a bus driver in this next week. Is it possible for a driver to get 7-8 hours per day? I just subscribed to you a few minutes ago 😊 I’m glad I happened upon your channel.

Hello, Mackelly Thanks so much for finding and subscribing! It is possible to get 7-8 hours. In the district I drive for, it is available, but rare. Typically a more veteran driver will get these long coveted routes. Our average route time is about 5.5 hours a day, as a split shift. If you add a mid day, you will come closer to to 7 hours. Most with mid day are around 6.5. With shuttles and field trips, you can obtain the hours.

After our new busses arrive, not sure when exactly that will be. Not sure about live, we shall see.
