A Christian and pastor from Central Asia, Brother Silas constantly interacts with Muslims. He says many are seeking truth and looking for answers to their deepest spiritual questions.
Brother Silas and Tom Houser, executive director for People International, share this week what new Christians in Central Asian nations-including Muslim background believers-experience when they become followers of Jesus. “The moment you make that decision,” says Silas, “you will be oppressed on every side.”
Persecution follows those who come to Christ in Central Asian nations like Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. The persecution may come from different sources: the government, their parents, relatives, neighbors, or the broader community. Persecuted Christians face isolation, broken friendships and being targeted by police or other authorities.
Silas shares some of his own experience as a persecuted Christian, and the encouragement he found in knowing other Christians were praying for him and that he was not alone. Organizations like People International and The Voice of the Martyrs, which take time to sit with persecuted Christians and know what they really need, bring encouragement as they share that others around the world-like VOM Radio listeners-are praying for our persecuted brothers and sisters.

You can be a christian,first to is accept jesus christ as our saviour,then go to catholic apostolic church because these the true chuch founded by jesus christ 33Ad,in upper room in jerusalem ,then ask the priest to baptize you in the name of the father ,and of the son ,and of the holy spirit,and recieve the body and bood of christ,

You can be accepted by Christ when you first repent of your sins and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and take the Holy Spirit and you will speak with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the ability my beloved from Somalia.

Thanking God for Bill Bright and Campus Crusade for Christ which created the Jesus Film decades ago,had it dubbed in many languages, including Chechens. It is still bearing fruit today.

I am a regular contributor to VOM and I am currently engaging with a young Muslim clerk at a local shop. He accepted a New Testament and the last time I spoke with him he hadn’t read much yet. When Silas talked about them reading in their own language I wanted to reach out to you about procuring one. Would you be willing to help me in getting one for him. I’m concerned for the time may come when those paper Bibles are all that’s left. If the internet indeed does go down or the governments can monitor every download even a cell phone can put people in jail. I pray the Lord makes the way for everyone to have some kind of access to scripture as the world falls into deeper darker evil. 🙏✝️🕊️❤️

I was enjoying this until I got to about 15:23. I was stunned. 15:09 TOM: "So, one of our initiatives that we have been working the last seven years in People International is this idea of kingdom diversity." WHAT?! They're doing quotas based on skin tones?! Why is this "woke" language coming in to this Christian channel/ministry?! "So, I am taking a team of African-Americans this next week to one of the Central Asian countries, and that African-Americans make up about twelve to thirteen percent of the American Christian population, but African-Americans only make one-half of one percent of missionaries sent from America." So what?! Skin tone is irrelevant! It's not like we're talking about a language or a particular skill that could be helpful in a location or project. What's next, bumping white people off a trip because they HAVE to have a certain percentage of black people? This is horrifying. This unbiblical partiality towards ANY skin tone has NO place in any Christian ministry.

There is a greater mistrust towards white people. Often these missionaries get visas for working as teachers, then do missionary work after hours. It's a good idea to send other ethnicities. There might not be as much surveillance at the beginning as with white people

I disagree. AA have gifts and talents that are needed in the Kingdom. This is a mission to offer those opportunities, not shut others out. It is also a blessing to the Church as a whole to have more communities with a Global and Missionary vision.

Theirs nothing wrong with the way this is being done. He's NOT saying, that we're cutting a well trained white person just to take a Black person. Thats Wrong, plus, this may be of Great Benefit for the African Americans take learn about another culture.
