People misunderstand why central banks hold gold (or Bitcoin). It is to sell into the market to protect the value of their product, fiat.

For central banks to buy a majority of BTC or ETH they would have to do it slowly over a long period of time otherwise price would go parabolic which would bring in even more speculators.

Not sure how technical you are...... We are going down because we are in a wave 4 correction. It's almost done.... So far it's an ABC correction and we in wave 4 with targets between 50-56.5k........ The correction could morph into an abcde 5 wave triangle if we hold the last low and go up we will be starting wave d. Minors are and have been capitulation since the second week of may. If you have tradingview pull up the hash ribbon indicator. 🤙

I'd say because it really doesn't matter. Both mean exactly the same thing and everyone knows both names. I use them inerchanginly aswell, whatever I feel like at the moment. One very tiny advantage is that BTC is very specific, whenever it's mentioned in a full sentence it stands for Bitcoin. While Bitcoin in a full sentence could also mean Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold or Bitcoin Satoshis Vision. These forks have different tickers, therefore it's a tiny bit more distinct. But yeah, I don't think it's an active choice. They often enough say Bitcoin aswell.

We use both, but technically BTC is the asset and Bitcoin is the network.
